🌊🇵🇱 Świnoujście, Poland
There’s something a little dreamy about Świnoujście in summer. It sits right at the edge of Poland, where the Baltic meets Germany, and the whole town feels like it’s resting between tides. We arrived by ferry ⛴️ gulls overhead, sea breeze in our faces, and sunlight glinting off the waves. That crossing set the mood: slow, open, full of salt and promise. 🚢🌬️🐚
The Beach is endless. Seriously, it stretches out wide and flat, with fine pale sand that stays warm even as the sea stays cold. Kids ran through the shallows, seagulls circled above, and people lay in the dunes reading or just listening to the wind. We found a quiet spot and stayed there for hours. No music. No rush. Just the rhythm of waves and the comfort of knowing you don’t have to be anywhere else. 🏖️⛱️🕶️
One afternoon, we walked to the Swinoujscie Lighthouse, the tallest on the Baltic. The climb was steep, but from the top, the view was endless: ships on the horizon, the city behind us, Germany just a breath away. A soft fog rolled in from the sea. It felt like we were standing at the edge of something, the kind of moment that makes you want to write a letter home. 🗺️📮🌫️
