Pingtung-Linhou Silin Plain Forest Park
When I first heard this place name, I thought it was strange and difficult to pronounce. Later, after some research, I understood the origin of this place name. This place is located in Chaozhou Town, Pingtung. It was originally a Taiwan Sugar Farm. The place names "Linhou and Silin" refer to the two farms of Taiwan Sugar Corporation in the area, "Linhou Farm" and "Silin Farm". Therefore, "Linhou Silin" combines these two place names, symbolizing that the park covers the scope of these two pieces of land.
There is an Erfengzhen experience area here. Children love playing in the water here because it is quite clean and the water is shallow, so we can easily play with the children. We often bring the children here to set up a tent under the shade of the trees for a picnic. They blow bubbles and play with balls on the grass, and sometimes play in the water. It's very relaxing.
If you are hungry and want to have some snacks or go shopping in the market, there are stalls here, with local agricultural products, local delicacies, creative handmade products, traditional crafts and other stalls. It is suitable for both adults and children to come here to play.
However, there are no permanent food stalls in the park on weekdays, only coin-operated vending machines. Markets and stalls mainly appear on holidays or during events.
