Li Li, Jiangsu - Liu Yazi Memorial Hall (Former Residence).
Liu Yazi Memorial Hall is located in the ancient town of Lili, Fenhu Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, a famous historical and cultural town. The memorial hall is an excellent building from the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty and an important modern historical site. It was originally the private residence of Zhou Yuanli, Governor of Zhili and Minister of Works during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It was completed before 1780 and was named "Cifutang." It has six courtyards, a depth of 92.9 meters, a land area of 2,603 square meters, a building area of 2,862 square meters, and 101 rooms. The three existing brick-carved gate towers are tall, imposing, and lifelike, with extremely high artistic value. Liu Yazi's family preserved many handwritten works of Nanshe members, which have become precious items of great historical significance. Cifutang mainly displays Liu Yazi's life photos, letters, works, poetry manuscripts, and letters and inscriptions from Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Soong Ching-ling, Lu Xun, and He Xiangning to Liu Yazi. Liu Yazi wrote a large number of passionate and spirited poems throughout his life, totaling more than 7,000 poems and 200 lyrics.
