Running Man Experience Hall Busan Station is super~ fun!! We used the "Busan Pass" to enter for free this time. You can enter by scanning the QR code directly, without buying a separate ticket🤑 We came at noon on a weekday, and there were almost no people~ There were only a few groups of tourists in the whole venue, and there was no need to queue at all. You can play several times even if you fail a level. It's super smooth and cool! We played the whole process for about an hour, and almost all games have been played once (although not all of them have been successfully passed🤣) At the beginning, the staff will give you an electronic bracelet, which is super important. 🗺️🗺️【Travel Itinerary】 Day 1: Stay in Haeundae Day 2: Join a tour Day 3: Relax around Haeundae and return home A 2-night, 3-day solo trip to Busan. In Korea, the culture of dining alone is still developing, and I was initially worried about whether I could fully enjoy solo dining in Busan. However, I had no issues and thoroughly enjoyed Busan's gourmet offerings! The main goals of this trip were "chilling out," "gourmet food," and "spontaneity." 【Day 1】 After arriving at Gimhae Airport before noon, I stopped at Seomyeon Station on the way to my accommodation in Haeundae for a lunch of Korean BBQ. Seomyeon is a lively area popular among young people, with many cafes and restaurants. It’s a convenient place to stay if you want to explore Busan thoroughly. To enjoy "solo BBQ," I visited "Meat Grilling Guys," a restaurant recommended by a friend. True to its name, the friendly male staff grill the meat for you. Although I was dining alone, I was allowed to enter as long as I ordered three servings of meat. I chose the lean shoulder loin, which was delicious, along with the accompanying side dishes and seafood soup! If I had companions, I would have ordered noodles or rice as well, but the meat alone was satisfying enough. Afterward, I headed to Haeundae, checked into my hotel, "Toyoko Inn Haeundae 2." Toyoko Inn hotels often have staff who speak Japanese, making them a reliable choice, especially for first-time visitors. The hotel lobby offers free lockers for guests, allowing you to store your luggage even before check-in time—a reassuring feature. To unwind from the travel fatigue, I visited "Shinsegae Spa Land" near Centum City Station. The 4-hour stay felt too short because the place was so comfortable! I sweated it out, took a nap, and enjoyed instant ramen when I got hungry—absolute bliss 🙌. I purchased the ticket via trip.com, which was convenient as I only needed to show the QR code. Nearby is the venue for the "Busan International Film Festival," a great spot to experience some culture. (I was inspired and decided to visit again during the festival period!) I returned to the hotel to end the first day. 【Day 2】 I joined a tour booked through trip.com, which included visits to Gamcheon Culture Village, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, and the Sky Capsule. Being a solo participant allowed me to make friends with other tour members. I had lunch with a Filipino girl I met that day, enjoying ramen, hot pot, and pancakes—dishes I couldn’t have ordered alone. Another day of satisfying meals! The tour itself was excellent! Our guide Sena was fluent in English, Japanese, and Korean, making her very reliable. After returning to Haeundae, I strolled around Haeundae Beach and the traditional market. Dinner was takeout chicken, which I enjoyed with beer while gazing at the sea—a perfect moment of freedom unique to solo travel. 【Day 3】 Departure day. Since my flight was in the evening, I decided to take it easy. I spent time at Haeundae Beach, which I had visited multiple times since Day 1. The beach was so beautiful that I couldn’t resist spending more time there. While the night atmosphere was lively and fun, the early morning air was refreshing, so I woke up early for a seaside walk. Breakfast was abalone porridge from a restaurant that opens at 6:30 AM. The porridge had a gentle flavor, and I recommend adjusting the taste with the side dishes and salt provided. I visited "X the Sky," a Busan landmark with a viewing deck, and relaxed at the world’s highest Starbucks. I also did some last-minute shopping at Olive Young nearby, spending the day without any specific plans. Reluctantly, I headed back to Gimhae Airport. On the way, I stopped by "ZMILLENNIAL," a cafe near Mokkol Station converted from a warehouse. It’s run by BTS member Jimin’s father and features a lot of purple, Jimin’s signature color. The cafe offers a variety of bread and sweets, and fans seemed to enjoy the exhibits. This trip was a chill-out and gourmet adventure without a specific agenda. Every time I come to Busan, besides watching the sea, the thing I want to do most is to go shopping and eat snacks! This time I stayed in a hotel in Haeundae, and it was a 5-minute walk downstairs to Haeundae Traditional Market (해운대전통시장) I originally just wanted to find a simple meal, but I didn’t expect that I couldn’t stop once I walked in, eating from beginning to end, and then buying a lot! It’s definitely worth a visit~ The stalls here are dense and there are many choices, from Korean snacks, fried food, seafood to desserts! And the prices are very affordable, the CP value is very high💯 When you walk to the end of the market, you will definitely see a super long queue of people! This sugar cake line stall is a "must-try dessert" certified by locals (Figure 3) But because there were too many people queuing and we were all full, we didn't buy any to try. Friends who have eaten it left a message to tell me if it's really delicious😆 There is a low-key small supermarket in the middle of the market, called Korea Mart (Figure 4) It has everything, and the best thing is that the price is surprisingly cheap, even more cost-effective than large supermarkets! Sometimes, all you need is a quick change of scenery — and honestly, hopping on a KTX train from Seoul to Busan might be one of the best spontaneous travel decisions I’ve made in Korea. The day started early (and I mean early) at Seoul Station. I grabbed a coffee, boarded the KTX, and two and a half smooth hours later, I was stepping into Busan — South Korea’s laid-back coastal city that feels like a breath of fresh, sea-salted air. First stop? Gamcheon Culture Village. I’d seen photos before, but nothing beats wandering those bright alleyways in person. Each corner is packed with art, color, and charm. It’s quirky, artsy, and full of tiny shops and cafes that feel like little treasures waiting to be discovered. After that, I made my way to Jagalchi Market — a must if you’re into seafood. It’s loud, local, and full of energy. I sat down for a plate of sashimi that was probably swimming that morning. So fresh, so good. In the afternoon, I headed to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple — and wow. If you're going sightseeing in Busan, the Visit Pass is a good deal! There are so many places you want to visit in Busan for the first time! I bought the card-type Visit Busan first. My friend bought the electronic Visit ticket because it was sold out. The card type can also function as t-money, so if you're new to Korea, I recommend the card. The electronic version only has the function of a Visit. It's valid for 24 hours from the first facility, so plan your visit accordingly! The Sky Rouge opens at 10am You can ride it twice for free. We moved on to the nearby Lotte Amusement Park. It's worth it just for this! We got greedy and stopped off at the Lego next to Lotte Amusement Park. The ice cream was cute, so we went to the cafe. In the evening, we returned to Haeundae and went to X the sky, the world's most expensive Starbucks. If you show your Visit card, it's free here too! After that, we had dinner nearby and went to Clubb Oasis, the building next to X the sky. You can enter the spa here empty-handed! Towels and indoor wear are free if you show your visit card! Upon entering the station, there are clear directions on the ground to guide you. Just follow them. Since the Sky Capsule Train operates on elevated tracks while the Coastal Train runs on ground-level tracks, you need to go up to the second floor to board the Sky Capsule Train. The Coastal Train and ticket office are located on the first floor. Inside the capsule, there is a fan and windows, making it not too hot. The ride lasts about half an hour, and we played music on our phone during the trip. To our surprise, the capsule even has a built-in non-electric speaker, which is incredibly thoughtful.
