Shenzhen Mission Hills: A 3-Day, 2-Night Getaway
Taking advantage of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I went on a short 3-day, 2-night trip. Mission Hills is highly recommended!
📍Location: Easily accessible via subway—50 minutes from Lok Ma Chau Port, Futian Station, Line 4, directly to Mission Hills Station.
🚗 Hotel Transportation:
The hotel is located within the Mission Hills Resort area, which is quite expansive. If you're exploring the hotel, Mission Hills New Town, or the Ecological Commune, you can take the free shuttle bus. Buses run approximately every 20 minutes, with a travel time of 5-10 minutes between each destination. The bus can accommodate over 20 passengers and has space for luggage. If you don’t want to wait, you can opt for a taxi, which costs around $10.
🛝 Hotel Facilities:
Nestled within the resort area and surrounded by lush greenery, the hotel exudes a relaxing vacation vibe. Step out onto the balcony for a panoramic view of the golf course.
🏊♂️ There are two swimming pools—one right downstairs from the rooms. Free float rings are provided. One side of the pool is designed for kids, while the other reaches a depth of 1.8 meters, with 2-3 lifeguards on duty at all times. In the afternoon, there’s a bubble party where staff set up large bubble machines by the pool, delighting all the children!
🏋️ Next to the pool is a gym, compact but well-equipped. Fitness enthusiasts can also enjoy the indoor badminton and table tennis courts (additional fees apply).
I stayed in a family suite this time, which includes a small dining area, kitchen (with microwave, induction stove, refrigerator, and utensils), two single beds, and a bathroom. A sliding door separates another room with a large double bed and another bathroom featuring an oversized bathtub—big enough for two adults or three kids to soak comfortably.
The hotel environment is very clean, and despite being open for 30 years, it feels well-maintained. Although close to nature, there were no mosquitoes.
Nearby Attractions:
👍🏻 Mission Hills New Town
A spacious and modern shopping mall with excellent air conditioning 😉. There are plenty of dining options 😋, including Zhou Shi Seafood, Green Tea Restaurant, Yang Xiaoxian Shaved Ice, Tai Er, Korean BBQ, Roast Duck, and more. On the B1 level, you’ll find various food stalls.
For shopping, there’s Patio Supermarket, Miniso, MUJI, Decathlon, and more.
👍🏻 Mission Hills Ecological Commune
Features attractions like an aquarium 🐟 and the Karu Ice and Snow World. This time, I visited Ice and Snow World for skiing—check out my other post for details ⛷️.
The Mission Hills Resort also boasts a golf course 🏌️, which I plan to try next time!
Recommended For:
Perfect for families—kids will love the activities available at the hotel (pool, craft workshops), Mission Hills New Town (go-karts, arcade games), and the Ecological Commune.
Even for adults, I highly recommend this destination for relaxation—stroll through the mall, take a dip in the pool back at the hotel, and unwind.
