【Aichi】Surreal Dolls at "Momotaro Shrine"
Located in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, "Momotaro Shrine" is a legitimate shrine dedicated to Momotaro, the legendary hero born from a peach. The shrine was established to honor the strong and healthy Momotaro, who is enshrined as the deity.
However, the dolls of Momotaro, his companions—the dog, pheasant, and monkey—as well as the old man, old woman, and even the demons, are quite surreal and quirky. This spot is also famous as a unique "B-grade" attraction.
Within the shrine grounds, there is a small treasure museum themed around Momotaro that has been opened for visitors.
Additionally, this location is one of the top spots in Aichi Prefecture for viewing autumn foliage, making it highly recommended for visits during the fall season.
