Our last stop in Xinjiang was a day trip to the Nalati Grasslands near Ili. We departed from Yining City and took the highway all the way, with a toll fee of 184 RMB. The entrance ticket to the scenic area, which includes the shuttle bus, costs 135 RMB per person, and the round-trip shuttle to Xuelian Valley is 60 RMB per person. At the scenic area, we chose the Sky Grassland ticket with the shuttle bus. The shuttle stops at three spots on the way up, and on the way down, it goes directly to the visitor center. So, make sure to get off at each stop to enjoy the attractions. Today, we also added a one-hour horseback riding activity, which costs 80 RMB per person (I also recommend riding in Xuelian Valley for better scenery and fewer people). At the Nomadic Station, you can buy a shuttle ticket to Xuelian Valley. I highly recommend going there as it is the most beautiful spot. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. I want to share these experiences with everyone, hoping they can help with your journeys! 👏 . 1️⃣ The four most worthwhile spots to check in ✔️ Nalati Grassland: Endless grasslands that are utterly refreshing! 🌾 ✔️ Sayram Lake: The lake is as clear as a mirror, breathtakingly beautiful! 🌊 ✔️ Tianshan Sea of Flowers: Fields of purple lavender, extremely romantic! 🌸 ✔️ Kashgar Old Town: Traces of history are everywhere, as if traveling back to ancient times! 🏰 2️⃣ Weather is really key!! 🌦️ ▫️ The grasslands and lakes of Xinjiang change with the weather. Overcast and sunny days are completely different worlds! ▫️ If you encounter a rare sunny day, don't hesitate, head straight to Sayram Lake and take a tour around the lake. 3️⃣ Hiking in Shipton's Arch requires good physical strength! 🚶‍♂️ ✔️ If you want to experience the magnificence of the snow-capped mountains up close, Shipton's Arch is a good choice, but it requires 1-2 hours of hiking, and the path is not easy. If you are traveling with the elderly or children, take it easy! ✔️ The shuttle bus in Shipton's Arch is very crowded, it is recommended to start early and try to return before 4 pm. 4️⃣ Thick clothes are a must! 🧥 Xinjiang has a large temperature difference between day and night, and the wind is strong.
