If you wanna see a collection of beautiful orchid, just come here. The place is located at mountain area, in the middle of a pine forest. Beside they have a lot of restaurant to try and other activities. There is also a free shutter bus between two parking lot, which is quite far from each other, one is at the top of the hill and the other is at the bottom. Cool air, beautiful pine forest & lots of great photo spots. The location is in Cikole, Lembang, 1 hour from Bandung. The area is very spacious and despite the pandemic everything is well maintained. The collection of orchids is also complete. Management is very concerned about the comfort of visitors. For those of you who are tired of walking around this largest orchid garden, you don't have to worry about returning to the starting point, because the manager provides a free pick-up car. The dining and drinking area is also filled with many delicious tenants. Public facilities such as prayer rooms and toilets are also well maintained, hand washing sinks are scattered in all areas. Orchid Forest Cikole Lembang is a lovely park in the middle of pine forest. This park is beautifully decorated with lots of various orchids as well as other flowers. As soon as we enter the gate, we will see many orchids in the pots surrounding the lobby. The orchids also planted in the tree trunks. Why orchid? Because orchids are beautiful flowers from tropical rain forest. As a tropical country that lies right on equator, Indonesia has plenty varieties of orchids. Most orchids are epiphytes, i.e. they grow anchored to trees in the forest. Note: Grab and Gojek apps are very convenient in Indonesia, but places like Tangkuban Perahu and Kawah Putih are quite far, so we opted for a private driver on those days. Just got back from the most unexpected yet amazing trip to Bandung with my husband and little brother and I’m still smiling about it! It was a totally last-minute plan — no itinerary, no expectations, just vibes. Our only goal was to visit Tangkuban Perahu… but thanks to our incredible driver, Pak Erick, the trip became so much more than that. He wasn’t just a driver, he was our spontaneous local guide! He brought us to some of the best spots in Bandung — from the serene Orchid Park to the fun Floating Market, and even a super cool De-u café with a gorgeous view of the city, and great coffee! It turned into a 12-hour adventure that we’ll never forget. Also, huge shoutout to trip.com! We managed to grab amazing deals on a couple of 4-star hotels (eL Hotel & Mercure Bandung City Center) — two rooms at a great price, all last minute. Since it’s Ramadan, we had a really good sahur at the hotel too. The food was satisfying and the rooms were nice and comfy (except for my brother’s room which had a little issue with the aircond — not ideal). While I probably wouldn’t recommend the hotel itself, I would definitely recommend trip.com if you need to book hotels quickly and affordably for a spontaneous trip! All in all, this unplanned journey ended up being one of the most fun and memorable travel days I’ve had in a while. The panoramic train from Bandung to Jakarta was also very scenic, and comfortable. I thought that it was gonna be hot due to the weather but the aircond power is great so it was a very comfortable 3 hours with a view! (Tho I recommend Whoosh for a time-efficient ride) Grateful for the good company, good food, and good vibes.
