Clothing: Xinjiang has a big temperature difference between day and night. Even in summer, bring thick outerwear like a windbreaker or down jacket. You can wear short sleeves and shorts during the day, but need to add layers at night. Waterproof shoes and clothing are necessary for grasslands and mountainous areas. Also, Xinjiang has strong UV rays, so sun-protective clothing, sunglasses, sun hats, and sunscreen are indispensable. 3. Medicine: Prepare stomach medicine for Xinjiang’s strong-flavored food, as well as cold medicine, motion sickness pills, fever reducers, anti-inflammatory drugs, and insect bite remedies. 4. Kanas Scenic Area: Known for the mysterious lake monster legend, the lake’s color changes frequently. Moon Bay, Wolong Bay, and Fairy Bay are stunning, especially in autumn like a fairy tale. First go to Jiadengyu, take the shuttle bus into the area, visit Wolong Bay, Moon Bay, Fairy Bay in order, and you can also take a boat or hike to the fish viewing platform. It’s crowded in peak season with long shuttle lines, so enter early, book accommodation in advance, and don’t trust ads about lake monsters. 2. Hemu Village: A Tuva ethnic village full of primitive charm, with morning smoke, golden birch forests, and beautiful wooden houses. After arriving, go to the viewing platform for sunrise, explore the village during the day, learn Tuva customs, ride horses, and join bonfire parties at night.
