Revisiting Tuen Mun's Western Cuisine ~ Truffle Cheese Fondue 🫕
After some time, I returned to ✨Pillowtalk Restaurant & Bar✨, where the menu changes periodically. The ambiance is quite chill, and the food quality is decent. However, the serving time is relatively slow, making it suitable for gatherings with friends to chat.
🐟 The appetizer was fried fish snacks, crispy and flavorful, perfect with wine!
For an additional $48, you can upgrade your meal to include the soup of the day or a salad. You can further enhance the set with +$48 for wine/mocktail or +$38 for dessert.
🥣 The soup of the day was potato and ham soup 🥔, topped with olive oil. It had a rich and smooth texture, with the salty aroma of dried ham 🍖. Quite delicious 😋.
🫕 Truffle Cheese Fondue $128
(Fries, Bread, Penne, Mushroom)
This dish took a bit longer to arrive, but the cheese fondue was well-seasoned and flavorful. The rich cheese 🧀 combined with truffle created an enticing aroma. Pairing it with fries, bread, and penne 🍞 dipped in cheese was very satisfying. The original mushroom side was replaced with fried sweet potato 🍠, which was crispy but didn't pair as well with the cheese.
🦀 Baked Crab Meat Risotto in Crab Shell $178
Crab meat, crab roe, mixed with egg and creamy risotto 🍲, offered a fresh and rich flavor. The creamy texture was smooth and indulgent without being overwhelming. It was so good that I finished it without realizing it. Delicious! 🤤
🍹 Grapefruit Soda "Forever Amen" $88 (+$48)
Refreshing and crisp, with a slight sweet and sour balance that cuts through the greasiness of the food.
🍫 Chocolate Lava Cake $68 (+$38)
Surprisingly, there was a plate art service 🌱, featuring three adorable Chiikawa characters 🌷, making it a fun photo opportunity. The lava cake had a slightly crispy exterior with a rich chocolate filling, a perfect ending to the meal.
