Scoot launched direct flight from Singapore to Padang and it is a short flight which is an hour or so. Not many foreigners or travelers, but Padang has many things to offer. My trip was short one so chosen Island hopping instead of hiking. Clean waters and some of island, I was practically alone in the island. A quick trip with my wife & her sister to Pulau Pagang / Pagang Island. The beach is surprisingly super clean and quiet. Would definitely go back and explore more of Padang. Better to come early in the morning so you can enjoy the morning breeze and relaxing sound of waves. The cost of food/drink are pricier than usual and they only have limited options — understandable. I had a plate of indomie goreng and it was crazy spicy so be careful if you can’t handle spicy food.#padang
