As early as the 19th century, An'e was already a busy fishing village, where residents made their living mainly from fishing and agriculture. Over time, Huan'e has undergone several developments and transformations, from a traditional fishing village to a modern residential area. Today, Bangi retains some historical relics as well as many modern facilities and attractions, making it a popular leisure spot for Singapore residents and tourists. Gan'e is famous for its beautiful natural scenery and rich outdoor activities. Here is the famous Punggol Waterway Park, a green space suitable for the whole family to enjoy. The park has extensive bike and walking paths, along which you can enjoy clear waterways, lush vegetation, and a variety of wildlife. Especially in the morning or evening, you can enjoy the fresh air and peaceful atmosphere here. Besides, Punggol has many other attractions such as Punggol Point which has a beautiful seaside where you can watch magnificent sunrise and sunset. There’s also Punggol Ranch, a family-friendly place where you can experience horse riding and other farm activities.

One of the island in Singapore located in the north-east, I recalled this island was probably a thing in 2014 or so where many people would go there and ended up with sandflies' bites. I love cycling among the tall trees where there are cycling routes, you can even explore further in or out at Punggol Waterway Park. There is a mini obstacle course featured in the second photo of my post and a jetty where you can see people fishing, my favourite is definitely the tall trees. So happy when I learnt that there is a newly opened cafe near my hood. This cafe is located within Oasis terraces, at punggol area, and it's name is called Anna's. The cafe sells everything sourdough related and I love how chill and relax the ambience is. You will be greeted with the sight of freshly baked sourdough loaves and pastries and staff are all friendly and enthusiastic. Currently, they are serving all day brunch and it is a great hang out place for coffee with friends or even a place to have a good alone time. Do not be shy to ask for some sourdough bread sampling, the staff there will be happy to let you try some. chanced upon this event during our exercise routine along punggol waterway on Sunday evening. it closes around 9pm and there were around 5 rides available: hamster ball run mini Viking / galleon mini Ferris wheel (around 5-6 sheltered baskets) bouncy castle robotic driving 2 games stalls adults would have to accompany kids below 1metre. you have to buy a prepaid card to enjoy the rides, but this card could be used again on another event held by the same company. our 32 months girl had her first Viking trip and was terrified when the Viking descended high up. the staff was sweet to notice her fears and made the ride lower instantly, since two of them were the only ones on board. after daddy hugged her tight and sung her some songs, she mellowed and calmed down and even said she wanna ride again! #urbanexplorer #本地遊 #themepark #givethanks

When we visit a country abroad, we tend to go to the popular tourist spots we see online and that’s a fact. However, with my multiple trips to Singapore (in which I am thankful for the chance), I fell inlove with the outdoor activities such as running. So whenever I travel to SG, I always include outdoor exercising, running and strolling in the parks as part of my itinerary. I have also recommended these to friends and they so love the idea because coming from a country where these activities would be considered a luxury, we feel glad to experience these for FREE atleast in Singapore without people actually looking at us. We usually run in Punggol area, mostly around Waterway Park and neighboring parks. Here are some snippets for you. There are plenty of photo spots, including charming bridges and quiet corners to relax. It’s clean, breezy, and beautifully maintained—a perfect weekend retreat without leaving the city. #singaporetrip Probably not a tourist location due to it being mainly a residential area, but if time permits, do take some time to stroll or cycle along the Punggol Waterway. The well-curated vegetation blends well with the waterway and the high-rise Residential at the backdrop, making it a unique sight to behold for locals and tourists alike. #singaporetrip Punggol Waterway Park was a pleasant surprise during my trip. It’s modern, beautifully designed, and has a chill, suburban vibe. I rented a bicycle and rode along the waterway, which is lined with landscaped gardens, art installations, and scenic bridges. The park is super clean and well-maintained, and it’s part of the longer Park Connector Network—so you can cycle all the way to Coney Island if you want. There are playgrounds, fitness corners, and plenty of benches to just sit and watch the world go by. It’s a little out of the city but worth it for nature and fresh air.

Toilets are available at the Park Connector. Finished our ride at Punggol Waterway Point after getting across Jewel Bridge to break for lunch at the Food Court. The whole Punggol area are well connected to nearby Parks, Waterfront and even Beaches. Nice living condition for the Punggol residents.

#singaporetrip Do you know that we do have lush greenery outdoor spaces all around Singapore? Check out the Coast-to-Coast Trail which is a 36km long trail across various park connectors and nature areas in Singapore. I had explored the Northeast trail areas along Sengkang Riverside Park and Punggol Waterway Park and it's truly a fascinating walk with great views due to the great sunny 🌞 weather. Do try it and see if you can spot the areas where I had taken the photos at 😊
