I spent the whole summer looking for a cool retreat with beautiful scenery and few people, and unexpectedly found this gem in the unassuming Dayi, Qinglan Valley, which is the perfect embodiment of my ideal summer resort hotel. The last kilometer up the mountain is all big hairpin turns and the road is very narrow, almost impossible for cars to pass each other. The tent also has a bathroom, which beats many other tent campsites, but there are especially many mosquitoes and cicadas in the forest. The dishes are very delicate and tasty, with three cold dishes, morel mushrooms, and wild mushroom chicken soup scoring high marks! The quality is comparable to well-known vegetarian restaurants in Chengdu, but the price is less than half. There is a hidden treasure waterfall near the hotel.
