#JapanTravel I never thought I'd meet the best tsukemen in my life in Fukuoka..! I was so happy to think, "Ah.. I came to Japan to eat this!" when I dipped the thick and chewy noodles in the soup that was so rich that I couldn't help but think, "Menya Kanetora!" 🥹 It's no exaggeration to say that this was the most delicious tsukemen I've ever had in Tokyo, Osaka, and other places. If you feel it's salty while eating, you can always pour in the broth in front of you, but I really recommend putting in a little bit. I didn't know how to do it well and poured in all the broth at once when there were a lot of noodles left, so it tasted so bland that I couldn't hide my regret the whole time I was eating the remaining noodlesㅠㅠ If possible, I recommend not pouring in the broth and eating until the end! Do you know the very popular cup ramen called Karakarauo? It's a seafood-based spicy ramen, but the owner, who trained at "Mensho Inosho" in Tokyo, brought "Karakarauo" back to Fukuoka and opened a shop called "Menya Kanetora" that specializes in tsukemen. The main dish at the shop is tsukemen, not ramen, but you can choose between regular tsukemen and spicy tsukemen, and you can choose the spiciness of the spicy tsukemen to your liking. This was my first time at the shop, so I chose the regular spicy tsukemen! It's still quite spicy, so be careful. I'm a big fan of spicy food, but I found it quite spicy! #newyearnewtrip I never knew I could enjoy a bowl of Tsukemen ramen so much when I was in Fukuoka. I mean it is just a bowl of dry ramen with a dipping sauce, what is there to expect? But I was so wrong, I was in tsukemen heaven when I tried their version of their famous noodles at Ramen Kenetora Restaurant. Expect a long queue outside Ramen Kentora restaurant because their tsukemen is simply the best! At 1700¥, you will get a huge bowl of their dipping sauce with meat inside, a huge bowl of dry thick ramen noodles with char siew slices and onsen egg. You can even choose the level of spiciness for your dipping broth and if you would like normal to large portion of the noodles. The dipping sauce is out of this world - it is savoury, sweet, full of flavours and umami. The noodles was chewy and had the right bite. Save some of their dipping sauce, pour some hot water inside and it becomes a soup. Trust me, this tsukemen is worth the wait and it's excellent!

This is a ramen that you can buy in cash at a vending machine. You can order whatever you want, and when it's your turn, a staff will come and ask you how much noodles you want, starting from 200 g. to 300 g.
