You must visit Lushan in winter! Detailed guide (including expenses) Depart from Nanjing! Challenge yourself to travel 48 hours a week (28/50) Lushan. Check out the snow in advance and travel to Lushan on a budget. Transportation to and from Lushan: Take the cable car: It takes about 10 minutes to go up the mountain. Round-trip ticket: CNY 120. Swipe your ID card to enter the cable car after buying a ticket. Operating hours: 7:30–18:30 (November–April). If you don't get carsick, you can choose to take the scenic shuttle bus (CNY 90 for a round trip and 7-day pass). The whole journey takes about 1 hour. Transportation on Lushan: Scenic shuttle bus: CNY 70 (If you are physically fit and want to climb the mountain, you don't need to buy a ticket). Lushan admission ticket: CNY 160. Lushan is divided into the west, central, and east lines. West line: Ruqin Lake → Jinxiu Valley → Xianren Cave → Datianchi → Longshou Cliff → Power Station Dam. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lushan without getting too tired. It takes half a day to a day. 2. The lake is in the shape of a lute and a zig zag bridge connect to an oval shaped island in the middle of the lake. Ruqin Lake (如琴湖) is a man-made lake built in 1961 and named after a stone inscription of four Chinese characters which means “the sound of the stream into the lake is like a lute playing” the shape of the lake is also like a lute. A zig zag bridge connect to an oval shaped island in the middle of the lake. The weather is different from downtown in Jiujiang. Best time to visit, November or even in summer. From Shenzhen North Train Station, we took a train to Jiujiang, Jiangxi. more than 4 hours travel by train. Yes it takes forever but I enjoyed the view from the train's window and I'm fine with that. By plane is more convenient for busy travellers. This place is part of Lushan Quaternary Glaciation National Geopark. Ruqin Lake, Lushan District, Jiujiang Jiangxi 332900 My best birthday ever!
