Not far from Hallstatt, one of the most beautiful towns and a famous tourist destination, there is a lake named Traun, which is much larger than Lake Hallstatt. Near Hallstatt, there is a small town called Obertraun, but I don't know if it has any connection with Lake Traun; perhaps it's just a similarity in name. There are several small towns along the lake, and the slightly larger town at the northern end is Gmunden. To get to Five Fingers, you have to take a cable car up, put on Yeti shoes, and walk along the mountain range for 30 minutes.
