#Spring0yentrip After arriving at Aomori Station, I first tried scallops at the restaurant Osanai in front of the station, which were plump and sweet, and I was impressed. It seemed to be a popular restaurant among locals, and had a nice warm atmosphere. After that, I went to the Sannai-Maruyama ruins, where huge pillars and remains of dwellings from the Jomon period were spread out, and I felt close to how people lived in the past. It was also impressive to board the Hakkoda Maru at Aomori Port and learn about the history of the Seikan Ferry. Inside, the atmosphere of the time remained, which was exciting. Then, at the Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse, I was overwhelmed to see the impressive Nebuta up close. Aomori was a city where you could enjoy food, history, and culture at your leisure.

Tokyo Haneda Airport has some wonderful views of mt. Fuji and if you like the ocean and mountains Aomori is the best place to Aomori is famous for their exceptional apples and nebuta floats and the famous cherry blossoms at Hirosaki castle.#travel #aomori #japan

Currently, the Seikan Tunnel connects Honshu and Hokkaido by land via the Shinkansen, but in the past, they used to transport trains by ship. Of course, there were airplanes back then, but they weren't as common as they are now, so it must be considered almost the only one. It's in Aomori, which is known to have the most snow in Japan, and you can get there within a 5-minute walk from the station!! Inside the ship, actual passenger rooms, dining rooms, and cockpits have been recreated, and explanations of what maritime travel was like at the time are easy to understand. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Aomori Bay from the ship's deck. You can even enter the cockpit, which you would never be able to enter if the ship was still in operation, so ship enthusiasts will love it! Another unique thing about the Hakkoda Maru is that it has a "car deck" where cargo cars are loaded onto it. There are train tracks running through the ship! This is apparently extremely rare even around the world.
