Seljalandsfoss is it truly striking waterfall a curtain of water that is truly a wonder. Make sure you bring wet weather, waterproof gear as you’re definitely gonna get wet if you want to hike round behind the waterfall, which I would highly recommend as it’s an incredible experience. I would definitely recommend hiring a car while in Iceland, the roads are very well maintained and generally ice free even in winter. Our car was stuck in the snow and we waited for half an hour before we could enter the room But it was really beautiful A great hotel for the first night of a winter trip around the south 2 hours from Reykjavik, 1 hour from Vik You can buy food at the Piggy supermarket and cook it here. There is a kitchen and kitchenware! The space is large and comfortable Remember to book a detached house. I booked a townhouse by mistake But the townhouse was not bad, just that the soundproofing was average and you could hear the neighbors walking
