[2025 Singapore Attraction] Travel Guide for Sentosa Island (Updated Jul)

My first trip to Singapore with an unprepared budget but a willing heart ⸻ Going back almost ten years ago… I was staring at AirAsia’s promotional ticket for Bangkok–Singapore, round trip for 1,800 baht. The hand that pressed the booking button didn’t have a lot of money, but my heart wanted to “Go out and see the world once.” And that was my first international trip. The time I was the poorest…but I got the most in my life. ⸻ 💡 4 days 3 nights travel plan (for people who have no money but have heart) ⸻ 💤 Day 1 — Arrive at midnight, the airport is cold, but keep going • ✈️ Landed at Changi at midnight • No place to stay, so sat in front of McDonald’s all night, tried to sleep, but it was too cold to sleep • Traveled into the city in the morning by MRT • Passed Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands, but they were not open yet • Waited until 10am, then walked to find a very cheap street food shop • 🏨 Stayed at: 5footway.inn Project Chinatown 2 • Leave the bag first because you can’t check in yet • Good location, very close to MRT and Chinatown • 🛕 Continue to Buddha Tooth Relic Temple • Pray for a smooth journey And make life ahead better • 🦁 Walk to Merlion Park • Stand and look at the water-spouting lions, thinking to yourself, "Even though we don't have much... we've arrived." • 🌙 In the evening, come back to eat a single-dish meal at Chinatown and then take a nap to regain your strength. ⸻ 🏛 Day 2 — All-day museum and special meal with relatives • 🎟 Visit the National Museum of Singapore • If you like history and beautiful exhibitions, don't miss it. • Inside, there are both multimedia zones and interesting antiques. • Very suitable for those who are on a budget because the entrance fee is not expensive but you get a lot. • 🍲 Lunch: A relative who works in Singapore took me to eat Bak Kut Teh at a famous restaurant. • I was touched by both the taste and the kindness that helped fill the day of those who had no budget. • 💦 Walk in line at the Fountain of Wealth • The Fountain of Wealth... People with no money come to ask for wealth. It's hopeful. • 🌇 Evening, enjoy the view at Gardens by the Bay • This time, I got in. The view from the Skywalk in the evening is the best. • Take some photos, collect lots of memories. ⸻ 🎢 Day 3 — A day to let go and have fun at Universal Studios Singapore • 🏰 Full-day trip to USS • Even though the budget is limited, I intend to spend a full day at the theme park. • Advantages of coming alone: I get to use the Single Rider channel, which allows me to play all kinds of rides very quickly. • It's as fun as other people, but I pay less (and don't have to wait for anyone). • 🍛 Evening, come back to eat something easy at Chinatown. • I don't have the energy to walk far, and I'm running out of money. #summervacay During my summer vacation I visited the sentosa island to find out more about the historical side of the Singapore island. I went into the tunnel where the British soldiers were at during the war times. They hide under the tunnel to prepare all the equipment and missiles to get ready to be in the war with the Japanese soldiers. Just visited Fort Siloso on Sentosa Island, and it was an incredible journey through time! 🇸🇬✨ Nestled on what was once called Pulau Blakang Mati, Fort Siloso is Singapore’s only remaining coastal fort — and what a story it tells. You would also get to see the beautiful sea and the cruises that are travelling along the sea. It is a windy place to be at. There are many places there. You can jog or walk or even cycle at the pathway.

It's clean, modern, and full of beautiful photo spots that anyone who visits will fall in love with. So pack your bags and follow Boom to travel together! ⸻ Day 1: Find a great spot at Jewel Changi Airport When I arrived in Singapore, I was so impressed because Changi Airport is beautiful beyond words! Jewel Changi is a highlight that you can't miss. It's a large glass dome with the world's tallest indoor waterfall. The Rain Vortex falls down along with lush green trees, making the atmosphere so refreshing. Boom walked around taking pictures for a long time. This place is like a beautiful garden in the city. There are restaurants, cute cafes, and dessert shops that make Boom want to try everything. Boom secretly likes the dessert and drink shops here a lot. The taste is just the right amount of sweet. Not too sweet at all. Plus, the atmosphere is great, like a Korean feel. Overall, this airport is like the starting point of a perfect trip. ⸻ Day 2: Have fun at Sentosa Island The first day that I really got serious about traveling was the second day. Boom chose to go to Sentosa Island. This is a place where everyone has fun. There is Universal Studios Singapore, which is a very popular theme park. Boom was so excited!!! There are so many rides. You can play all day long without getting bored. Boom got to play Transformer, which was very exciting, and Jurassic Park, which was fun and exciting, and Madagascar, which is perfect for those who like to chill. Boom ran around until he was tired, but he was so happy. In addition, Sentosa also has a beautiful beach where you can sit and relax. Relaxing, taking cool photos, and there is also a cool ice cream shop to cool down. In hot weather like this, ice cream is really a lifesaver. ⸻ Day 3: Explore the flower garden, Gardens by the Bay The next day, Boom spent walking around Gardens by the Bay, which is a large botanical garden with both the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest, which are so beautiful that it feels like being in a fairy tale. Boom likes Cloud Forest the most because it has a large indoor waterfall and a cool atmosphere, like escaping the heat outside. There are many photo spots in this garden, whether it's colorful flowers or tall steel tree structures called Supertree Grove. In the evening, Supertree Grove has a beautiful light and sound show, like little stars in the sky. Boom sat and watched along with other people. Who came to admire this beauty, I feel that this is one of the places you shouldn't miss. ⸻ Day 4: Enjoy the city view at Marina Bay Sands Boom would like to tell you about the impression from Marina Bay Sands, a tall building that is a landmark of Singapore. Going up to see the view on this chic rooftop makes you feel that Singapore is modern and lovely at the same time. The view is 360 degrees, with the lights from the tall buildings twinkling and yachts sailing by. Boom likes the dusk the most because the sky changes colors beautifully. There is also a spectacular sound and light fountain show. Anyone who likes to watch shows will definitely love this place. Boom sat and watched for about half an hour, so much so that he forgot the time. ⸻ Day 5: Shopping and eating at Orchard Road Anyone who visits Singapore must stop by Orchard Road, a real shopping street! This street is full of many shopping malls and beautiful shops. We can choose to buy souvenirs, products and cute things. Boom got to try authentic Singaporean food like Laksa with a rich taste and Chili Crab that was so spicy that we had to give it a thumbs up. Boom secretly likes this kind of menu a lot because when you eat it, you can feel the true culture and identity of Singapore. Boom walked around and bought cute souvenirs to give to friends at home. Prepare to be excited, get your camera ready, and let's go! 💖 Day 1: Arrive in Singapore — Jewel Changi and Haji Lane 🌈 After arriving at Changi Airport, we almost screamed from the first step we got off the plane because the airport here is sooo beautiful! Jewel Changi is a paradise for people who love taking pictures. There is the world's highest indoor waterfall (Rain Vortex), lush greenery, and many shops and restaurants. We walked around taking dozens of photos until we forgot the time. Then we checked in to the hotel in the Bugis area, which is very convenient to travel to. Then we went for a walk in the Haji Lane area, which is full of cute cafes and clothing stores with colorful graffiti walls. It felt like we had entered a fantasy world. Perfect for photography lovers! Day 2: Sentosa Island and Universal Studios Singapore 🎢🎠 In the morning, we headed straight to Sentosa Island, a popular tourist attraction in Singapore. We started by taking the Sentosa Express across the island. Arrived at Universal Studios Singapore! Wow, the excitement started from the first step. The atmosphere was like being in a Disney theme park. We spent time playing exciting rides such as Transformers 4D, Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure, and the Far Far Away zone, which is the world of Shrek and Madagascar, which is so cute. After walking until we were tired, there were many restaurants to choose from to recharge. What impressed us was the cleanliness and excellent management, making it safe to have fun. This evening, we returned to Clarke Quay, a chic riverside area, to eat Singaporean chicken rice and watch the river view at night. I must say it was very romantic. Perfect for relaxing after having fun all day. Day 3: Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands 🌺🌃 Today, we started by visiting Gardens by the Bay, Singapore's most famous botanical garden. We saw the Supertree Grove, a giant tree with a beautiful light and sound show at night. During the day, you can take beautiful photos to your heart's content. Next, we went to the Flower Dome, which brings together plants from all over the world in a single dome. The atmosphere was like being in a fairy tale, and it was also very cool. We walked around so much that we forgot the time. Then we went to Marina Bay Sands to take in the panoramic view of the city, take a photo with the Merlion, the symbol of Singapore, and then chill out at the SkyPark of Marina Bay Sands to see a 360-degree view of the city at night. I must say that I was so impressed that I wanted to stay there for a long time. Day 4: Chinatown, Little India, and Orchard Road 🛍️🍜 Today, we wanted to experience the cultural diversity of Singapore. We started at Chinatown, an old Chinese community full of local restaurants and cute souvenirs. We tried hot dim sum, so delicious that we wanted to go back for more. Then we went to Little India, which is full of bright colors and beautiful Hindu temples. There, we bought some small souvenirs and tried some Indian-style desserts. They were so delicious that we were hooked. In the afternoon, we went shopping at Orchard Road, Singapore's most popular shopping street. There are many leading brands to choose from. We stopped for ice cream and strolled around until we almost forgot the time. Last day: Kampong Glam and Bugis Street Market 🛵🎨 Before going back, we chose to walk around Kampong Glam, which is full of street art and cute cafes. We took pictures with the beautiful Sultan Mosque. The atmosphere here combines the old and the modern perfectly. We walked to Bugis Street Market to shop for the last souvenir before heading back to the airport. Summary of impressions 💕 Singapore is a city that is easy to travel to, clean, safe, and full of beautiful places that are suitable for taking pictures. The free shuttle bus comes regularly and you can take it from the resorts world sentosa bus stop all the way to the shangri la Rasa sentosa area. It is a fifteen minute ride in total.

#favouriteitinerary My boyfriend and I were looking for new activities to do in Singapore and found a recommendation in tiktok where we could bike around sentosa island. It seemed like a healthy thing to do as well so we decided to head to Harbourfront MRT. We took the bust instead to sentosa island from there as the bus was $3 cheaper than taking the skytrain. We took a cable car to Palawan Beach for only $2 as they had a special sale for students back then! The island looked truly different and beautiful from above. We rented bikes using a bike rental app and started biking around the island. There were stops we have never known about. We also sat on the beach and enjoyed our time there. There are stations here and there for refreshments too so there’s no need to worry about that! Do try it out for a healthy couple’s activity if you haven’t!

I took advantage of the March holidays to go to Tokyo and Singapore. Day 1 Okayama → Tokyo: concert, late night Singapore Day 2 Arrived around 5am → Hilton Singapore: leave luggage Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Flyer, afternoon tea, night safari Day 3 Louis Vuitton, Chinatown, Sentosa Island, Singapore → Tokyo Day 4 Ginza, Shibuya → Okayama I took a shower in the JAL lounge on the way there, so I started moving first thing in the morning! Even though it was late March, it was midsummer hot. I was drenched in sweat after walking down Orchard Road for an hour. The purpose of this trip was to see the concert in Tokyo and the night safari! Gardens by the Bay was really good. I want to go again. There was another cosplay photo session, and the gardens were filled with Japanese anime cosplayers. It seems that the Singapore Flyer can hold many people, and the wait time was only about 10 minutes. Since I was with some Westerners, I had my picture taken inside. It's really fun if you get champagne. In the evening, we had afternoon tea and then went to the night safari! I was very satisfied because I saw lions (I've been to the night safari many times)! The next day, I went to the Hilton pool! The water was really cold. It was so cold that everyone disappeared within 30 minutes. Is this a punishment game?! Anyway, I went to Louis Vuitton, which was my main purpose! I was exhausted when I got here. Of course, it was expensive and I couldn't buy anything, but I dragged my heavy feet because I thought I wasn't coming to this building. I walked around until night and then went to the airport in Singapore. The person next to me had been drinking beer all the way to Japan... I was really surprised.
