A Temple Stroll Recommendation
Seonamsa Temple is ideal for walking with parents as it has few stairs and a generally flat path. The trail leading from the forest entrance to the temple grounds is a dirt path rather than gravel, making it easier on the feet. Along the way, there are benches under the shade of trees where you can take a break. When you arrive in front of the main hall (Daeungjeon), you'll be greeted by an open view and the refreshing sight of tiled roofs. I still remember my parents smiling brightly and saying, "This place is really nice." Sitting together and quietly listening to the sound of the wind can make conversations between generations feel smoother and bring a sense of closeness.

A Tranquil Temple Walk with Your Child
A quiet day as a gift 👨👩👧
If you want to spend a special day with your child in a warm and peaceful space rather than a noisy playground, Seonamsa Temple is highly recommended. Strolling leisurely along the Baekyangsan forest path, you can enjoy the colors and sounds of nature together. Watching your child walk carefully like a cat in the temple courtyard is truly heartwarming. The time spent quietly explaining to your child about the three-story stone pagoda when they ask, "What is this?" feels like a gift even greater than a picnic. The temple surroundings have plenty of shade and soft paths, making it easy for young children to walk without difficulty. Taking breaks to share kimbap along the way adds to the fun. This small moment of relaxation found in the city made the quiet day with my child feel even more special.

Refreshing forest walk along the cypress trail to a thousand-year-old temple
Walking through the deep forest trails of Baekyang Mountain in Busan, you'll be greeted by quietly towering cypress trees that reach shoulder height. As you take each step amidst the invigorating scent of phytoncides, the purity of nature seeps deeply into your heart. Taking a break on the benches scattered along the way, you'll eventually arrive at Seonamsa Temple, a thousand-year-old sanctuary quietly nestled at the end of the trail. As you pass through the entrance, you can feel the serene embrace of the temple, which has withstood centuries of weathering.

Seonamsa Temple with a cool view
#JuneTravelSupport
I recommend a cool summer retreat under the Yongwangdang Waterfall.
Across from the Yongwangdang next to the Daeungjeon of Seonamsa Temple in Busan, a small waterfall that falls between natural rock walls cools down the summer heat. The sound of the water droplets falling is like a comfort that fills the cracks in your heart, and when you stand on the small stone bridge, you can feel your breathing evenly without realizing it. Between the densely permeated waterfall and the mysterious rock walls, both your body and mind become cool.

Urban Life Shot Tour with Friends
Seonamsa Temple, located at the foot of Baegyangsan Mountain, is a stunning photo spot that harmonizes urban nature with a historic temple. When you visit with friends, you can take photos against various backgrounds, starting from the forest trail to the three-story stone pagoda, wooden fish, and the main hall (Daeungjeon). The view of the temple perched on a rocky cliff is like a framed landscape, making it fun to take pictures of each other. Close to the city yet blending nature, history, and emotion, this place is perfect for spending a meaningful day with friends. You'll leave with beautiful photos, cherished memories, and a peaceful heart.

Perfect for Contemplation
Ideal for reflective reading! Enjoy a serene atmosphere and a moment of rest within the temple grounds.
Seonamsa Temple is a place where silence is naturally maintained, even without enforced distancing. The small courtyard in front of the main hall or the rest areas for visitors are equipped with well-placed benches, making it a perfect spot to settle down with a book. Sitting under the shade of ancient trees, with the sound of temple bells in the background, you might feel as if you're in a small library within the temple, immersed in thought.^^

Enjoy the serene and historic atmosphere
Experience the timeless charm of the Bell Pavilion, Wooden Fish, and Three-story Stone Pagoda. As you step into Seonamsa Temple, the tranquil bell tower of the Bell Pavilion greets you warmly, and standing beside the dragon-headed wooden fish feels like it's inviting you to forget the burdens of life. Particularly captivating is the Three-story Stone Pagoda, believed to have been crafted during the mid-Joseon period or Goryeo era. Its missing lower base draws attention, and the remaining roof stone evokes a thousand years of history at a glance. The stone walls surrounding the temple and the picturesque scenery within create the feeling of walking through a painting.

Seonamsa Temple in Suncheon, a beautiful place with double cherry blossoms and temple scenery🌸
#Spring travel
Seonamsa Temple in Suncheon, famous for its double cherry blossoms.
The scenery of the abundant and large double cherry blossoms blooming all over the temple inside the Daeungjeon Hall, deep pink azaleas, and colorful lanterns was so pretty!
It's pretty even when it's at its peak,
but it's even prettier when the double cherry blossoms fall and the pink carpet is laid out💗
There are many large double cherry blossom trees all over the inside of Seonamsa Temple, so no matter where you take pictures, they come out really well!
So when the double cherry blossom season starts, people start to increase after 9 o'clock, and the parking lot becomes full, so if you want to take pictures quietly without people, I recommend going early in the morning.
