When the moonlight of the new moon shines on the walls of Shah-i-Zinda, When the evening lights are lit in Registan Square, At that moment, I seemed to see the concrete appearance of a blue vortex. 💫 Registan Square Three 15th-century theological schools stand like giants, with lapis lazuli-colored tiles shimmering in the setting sun. Look up at the astronomical dome of the Ulugh Beg Madrasah—it once contained the most accurate star chart of the Middle Ages, and the wisdom of the Timurid Empire still glitters between the bricks. 💫 Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis Many blue-green tombs string together the legend of the "Living King." When your fingertips slide across the Arabic patterns entwined with vines, you suddenly understand why the Persian poet said, "Every brick here is solidified scripture." 💫 Bibi Khanym Mosque The dome that Timur built for his beloved wife cost the craftsman his life—legend has it that an architect traded his life for the chance to touch the queen's fingertips, and this building itself, in my opinion, is not the emperor's fiery love, but Bibi Khanym's silent confession. 💫 Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum The Central Asian conqueror sleeps under the dark green agate coffin, and the legend of the "Curse of Timur" is still repeatedly chewed on by people after dinner. 💫 Hazrati Hizr Mosque The building on the small hill overlooks the entire ancient city. Leaning against the thousand-year-old cypress door frame and looking into the distance, I suddenly understood what Xuanzang wrote in "Great Tang Records on the Western Regions": "The land is fertile, and the flowers and fruits are luxuriant." Hi, welcome back to my trip post! After arriving in Samarkand, we booked a Yandex ride to our hotel, Aisha Registan (RM150 per night). The hotel is located opposite the Registan building, and it's only a 5-minute walk to Registan. After checking in, we went to Shah-i-Zinda, our first attraction to visit. Shah-i-Zinda is a world-famous example of a historically significant site that has been continuously developed over the centuries. Over 1,000 years ago, it began with a single religious monument, Shah-i-Zinda. This stunning necropolis, one of the most renowned sites in Samarkand, is known for its intricate tile work and rich history, dating back to the 14th century. The entrance fee was RM31.50, and you can pay using a credit card or cash at the counter.
