A ticket here cost 50RMB for the 5 areas of the park (see map photo) we managed to see 2 areas of the park. The first part we went to was Siming Lake, walking around here is relaxing and took us around 1 hour. We then took a 1 hour walk north to the higher area, starting at 6944 restaurant and leading to the waterfalls. This is a 40 minute walk from start to end on a jagged rock path. Be prepared. The nature is wonderful, could easily make a day of the trip and see more areas. All the areas are within walking distance to each other. 🚗 Departing from Shanghai, three days and two nights, self-driving the Siming Mountain winding road 📌 Day 1 🏠 Check in at Siming Lake Kaiyuan Resort, central lake view room, Building 7, 2nd floor 🛞 Leave early to avoid weekday traffic in the city. Navigate to Siming Lake Resort. On the way, you can visit Guanpei Village (a thousand-year-old ancient village) first and have lunch there. ☕️ Check in at the hotel in the afternoon and rest. The hotel occupies the best view of Siming Lake. It's nice to walk around and explore. The hotel provides complimentary fruits and snacks. Sitting on the balcony, drinking tea and enjoying the view is very relaxing. 👣 If you want to go out in the afternoon, nearby is Liangnong Ancient Town (just one main street, not recommended for sightseeing, just drive through). You can also visit the nearby Baishuichong Waterfall, an undeveloped scenic spot (free). It's a 5-minute walk to the small waterfall, and another 5 minutes to the high waterfall. The whole trip won't take much time. 🥘 For dinner, on the way back to the hotel, there's a restaurant (Pinyaxuan Farmhouse, the braised fish head tastes good) or you can eat noodles at the hotel's noodle restaurant. 📌 Day 2 🛞 The most beautiful Siming Mountain winding road: Huxi Line 🧭 Navigation: From the hotel to Xuedu Temple There are many scenic spots and ancient villages along the way (similar to Guanpei Village) 1. Baishuichong Waterfall (skip if you visited yesterday) 2. Yangeling Ancient Trail (skip if you don't like hiking) 3. Siming Mountain Viewing Platform (very nice, you can see the hairpin bends on a clear day, but we had heavy fog) 4. Siming Mountain Forest Park (we only visited the Shenyou Valley section) 5. Thirty-six Bend Village (main production area of Wuzhenjin pine, high mountain garden village) 6. Xuedu Temple (excellent, with a giant Maitreya Buddha in the back courtyard that soars into the clouds; you can take an elevator directly to the Buddha's feet) 🌃 In the evening, you can stay at a hotel in Xikou Town. We chose to drive an extra 20 km to stay in Fenghua (Atour Hotel at Huizheng Old Street, breakfast not included, good breakfast places nearby). In the evening, you can explore the old street (all food and drinks). 🥘 Dinner: Recommend taking a Didi to Old Ningbo Alley Restaurant (Guangping Road branch). Try the crab paste, silver clams, swimming crabs, and eel soup, then walk back to the hotel in about 30 minutes. 📌 Day 3 🥣 For breakfast, recommend going to Zhuangyuan Fang Wonton next to the hotel. Taking advantage of the nice weather, I went to Siming Mountain in Yuyao, Ningbo some time ago. Everyone knows that Siming Mountain has beautiful autumn scenery, but in fact its spring is just as beautiful. In Xuanyan Village of Siming Mountain, the early cherry blossoms quietly exploded their first "pink cloud" a while ago. Generally, the early cherry blossoms only last about 10 days. However, if you miss the early cherry blossoms, don't worry. Because I think the late cherry blossoms in Siming Mountain are the real "finale". The following large tracts of cherry blossoms can dye the entire mountain into a pink ocean, so beautiful that people can't take their eyes off. Siming Mountain is quite suitable for self-driving travel. With just one step on the accelerator, you can take over the spring of the entire mountain. And most importantly, it is not far from Hangzhou by car. It takes about 2.5 hours to get to Yuyao Siming Mountain, which is very convenient. So this time, I will explore the route for you in advance and observe the progress of the spring scenery in Siming Mountain. This year, the cherry blossoms in Xuanyan Village are in full bloom in early to mid-March. When I went there, the late cherry blossoms had not yet begun to bloom. The best spring scenery in Siming Mountain is around the end of March to early April. In spring, you can choose a few places to visit. As usual, I will share with you the self-driving route of this one-day tour in Siming Mountain: Siming Lake-Liangnong Ancient Town-Dalan Town-Yazhuang Village-Shangmagang Cherry Blossom Base-Maowuo Ancient Village-Xuanyan Village. I personally feel that the pace of this self-driving route is quite comfortable. I went there to see the early cherry blossoms, so I drove around Xuanyan Village for a while. If you plan to see the evening cherry blossoms, you can choose to go to Xuanyan Village or not, because it takes about an hour to get there. Siming Lake Siming Lake is larger than West Lake, its area is twice that of West Lake. You can park your car in a nearby parking space and then take a walk along the lakeshore. There is a tall and scattered redwood forest nearby. Although it looks a bit bleak now, it gives people a different kind of beauty. It is very pleasant to just drive along the lake, and you can see the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains from the car window. There are no crowds here, you can slow down and feel the tranquility and beauty for a moment. If there are shareholders who like cycling, you can bring a bicycle! There is a dedicated cycling path here, and there are not many people here, so it is quite leisurely to ride a bike against the wind. Hanging Rock Village In the hinterland of Siming Mountain, there is a small village called Xuanyan Village. Around mid-March every year, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, but this year due to weather conditions, they bloomed a few days earlier. When I walked into the village, I saw houses surrounded by cherry trees everywhere. Occasionally, I could see a few villagers sitting in front of their houses and chatting. It really had a pastoral feel. By the way, the cherry blossoms in Xuanyan Village are early cherry blossoms with white petals. If you want to see the late cherry blossoms later, you can just focus on the ones in Dalan Town. In the village, you don’t need any strategy. Just walk into any path and you will encounter cherry blossoms that can be seen everywhere in the yard. Standing under the cherry tree, any shot you take will turn out great. There are also some simple farm restaurants here. If you have dining needs, you can consider going there. However, when there are many people, the food will be served slowly. Dalan Town When it comes to places to enjoy spring in Siming Mountain, I recommend Dalan. When the late cherry blossoms bloom, this is definitely the most photogenic section of the winding mountain road. Dalan Town is not only China's professional cherry blossom base, but also the largest tea-producing town in Zhejiang, with over 20,000 acres of tea gardens. Of course, the beauty of Dalan Town is not limited to spring. It is quite presentable all year round. In spring, you can go to Shangmagang to see thousands of acres of late cherry blossoms, with large patches of pink cherry blossoms. In summer, the mountains are full of greenery and are a great place to escape the heat. In autumn, the persimmons in Shilin Village hang high on the branches, and the golden fruits set off the quaint village.

It's a natural oxygen bar. There are two routes to drive up the mountain from Ningbo's urban area: one from Fenghua via Xuedou Mountain, and the other via expressway from Yuyao, passing Siming Lake. Yangtian Lake at the mountaintop is a perfect spot for watching sunrises, sunsets, and seas of clouds. Shenhu Lake and Xiuhu Lake, with their lush greenery and crystal-clear waters, will instantly calm your mind. At night, you can admire a starry sky unseen in the city, and if you're lucky, you might even catch a shooting star. You can also visit Maohuo Ancient Village in Siming Mountain, where there's a scenic walking trail. 📝Tips: The temperature on the mountain is 6–8°C lower than in the urban area, with significant temperature differences between day and night, so dress warmly. Hiking route: I recommend starting from Shenxiu Valley, following the trail to Yangtian Lake, and then returning. The scenery along the way is beautiful, making it suitable for families with children. If you're staying at the Forest Resort, you don't need to buy park tickets. 🏨Hotel environment: Siming Mountain Villa Forest Resort offers accommodation within the forest park, but it's quite old, and the rooms have a musty smell.
