First time at this hotel – The SO hotel was awesome by every aspect, making my 10 days stay in Bangkok a slice of peace in the heart of this frenetic city. The hotel oozes with personality orchestrated by a world class staff that goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable, all the way from check in to check out. Stayed for 2 nights seems not enough, enjoyed the suites so much. Spacious and modern (we choose metal element). If you like high floor then you should choose Water Element. Great service and breakfast. We also enjoyed dinner at So Bangkok with their various items. Quite near to Siam Paragon and Pratunam but it’s located in traffic jam area so need careful with your time plan. There’s vibrant rooftop bar that you could enjoy Bangkok city light. Stylishly appointed apartments/ rooms (designed over different themes representing the nature elements: Wood, Metal, Water...) , very impressed with the super comfy bed. Delicious and expansive breakfasts (just keep in mind that weekends can get a bit more crowded but overall things get well managed by a knowledgeable and friendly team). The lounge on the 25th floor is an interesting place to hang out, especially in the late afternoon to enjoy the complimentary light buffet (free access for guests staying in superior rooms). The pool/gym area was probably my favourite spot. A relaxation nest offering a stunning view on the city skyline where I enjoyed to end up almost every evening of my stay. Simply put, it's like changing your place to sleep, haha. We stayed at SO Sofitel Bangkok on Sathorn Road. It has a chic atmosphere that's very much like a City Girl. The hotel itself is a Liftstyle Hotel with a fashionable style. This makes it a place that's perfect for staying for a night and taking lots of photos. -------------------------------------------- A highlight here that you can't miss is the swimming pool view. The Infinity Pool overlooks Lumpini Park. Lumpini Park is especially green right now. The atmosphere is great.. Oh, and they have a Pool Party every last Saturday of the month. Party lovers must not miss this 🙂 ------------------------------------------- The theme here consists of 5 elements: 4 rooms and 1 restaurant, which are: Guest rooms - Water - Earth - Wood - Metal Restaurant - Fire (Red Oven) This time, we chose to stay in the SO Comfy Element Water room type. The sunlight shines into the room during the day and it is super healing. At night, the neon lights are flashing and it is as beautiful as a movie scene. It is a completely white-style holiday ceiling. You can lie down to enjoy the scenery, check in for food, soak in the pool, and do SPA. The lazy travel mode is fully turned on~ The location of the hotel is amazing! Across the road is Lumphini Park. I rented a bicycle and walked around slowly. I actually encountered a super cool Komodo dragon (I was so excited that I took crazy photos 📷)! The pool party on the last Saturday of every month here is the soul, with music, wine, bikinis, and the atmosphere is full! The most unforgettable thing is its SPA! I have never forgotten it since I experienced it seven or eight years ago. Now I have changed to Jo Malone products, which are more advanced. Even the drinking water is sprinkled with gold foil.
