Qilou Old Street is a surreal little area in the middle of Haikou, Hainan. For brief moments it really does feel like you are walking down the streets of a traditional Portuguese town. There were some cute little cafes and boutique shops to wander around, ideal if you want to spend an afternoon there just taking it easy and drinking coffee. Best way to get there is probably a didi. A walk along the street brings you back to the 70s where shophouses are selling dried goods and some of the stores are selling apparel. A deep walk inside the alley brings you to where the villagers live. There are shop houses selling food and beverages. You can order fast food there. Fast food means economical rice. They call it fast food because you can get your meal fast after selecting the dishes to go with your rice. The place is cooling and brings you back to your memories. The location is very convenient as it's close to the railway station and not too far from Haikou's attractions 🤞 Getting There - taxi from the hotel. Attractions - Haikou bell tower, old town architecture, Zhongshan road. Hotels - Metropolo Jin Jiang Hotel. Food & Restaurants - tradition tea houses and Chinese restaurants on Zhongshan road.
