Before flying back to Thailand, we left 3.5 hours before the flight because we had time to queue for check-in and immigration. Another main reason was that we intended to have dinner before boarding the flight back to Thailand. Today, we went to a lounge called Rose Business Lounge, which is near Gate 8-9. This lounge has about 10 types of ready-to-eat food to choose from, including baked potatoes, chicken with sauce, mixed stir-fried vegetables, sausages. Another highlight is Pho. In the fruit zone, there is dragon fruit, which Vietnamese dragon fruit is very delicious. In terms of drinks, there are soft drinks, milk, fruit juice, beer and wine. Luckily, there weren't many people on the day we went, so we could sit and eat comfortably before boarding the plane.

The transit time this time was about 4 hours✈︎ The MCT (minimum transit time) seems to be 100 minutes so I was wondering whether to leave the country and do some sightseeing, but I decided not to as I was planning to do some sightseeing in Hanoi later. Transfers▷ Because I was transferring between Vietnam Airlines flights, I moved lightly through the baggage pass🎒 However, the international transfer lane was much more crowded than I expected!! There is baggage inspection when transferring to an international flight, but there is only one inspection machine. There were a lot of passengers transferring for 2-3 flights, and the line was very long 🥲 The line for Vietnam immigration and the line for international transfers, which were right next to us, got mixed up, and we couldn't move for a while. We were lucky to be able to line up at the front, but if you're at the back of the line, you may have to wait for more than an hour. If you're transferring to an international flight at Tan Son Nhat, we recommend that you allow yourself plenty of time ⚠︎ Facilities ▷ After departure, there were several shops, cafes, and souvenir shops in the departure lobby 🛍️ Restaurants and cafes are a bit pricey at airport prices. Menu example▷ Coffee: $4.50 (about 680 yen) Croissant: $3.50 (about 530 yen) Banh mi: $5.90 (about 900 yen) Banh mi and coffee set: $12.10 (about 1,800 yen) It's a little pricey, but you can relax and spend the time before your transfer. HCMC airport is right near the city. In fact you can argue it's right in the city and it's a shirt 30 min bus ride to the city or a good 15-20 mins taxi ride depending on the traffic. It's separately in both domestic and international terminals and the 2 are connected by an outdoor covered walkway. However a word if advice, immediately in front of the domestic terminal you'll find most of the cheaper eateries. The international terminal seemed to be the newer one of the two and it was spacious clean and nice. We booked Vietjet flight VJ325 through Trip.com at a very good price, only a little over a thousand baht, just like flying domestically in our country. It was a price that we were okay with. The flight time was also good, 12.40 p.m. The plane left on time and arrived at Phu Quoc Island in just about an hour. Yes, indeed I am. This particular airport lounge in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam is really special as it is HALAL certified - Jasmine Business Lounge. So Muslims can dine here without a single doubt. For $43, we got to enjoy food, it is not local cuisine but mediterranean. We were actually looking forward for beef pho and a bit upset as there was none ! Our mistake for not reading the lounge signage at entrance. The downside is, there is no shower facilities ! Gosh ! We badly need to freshen up after a long night bus journey ! Again our mistake for not checking first with the reception, I guess we just got too excited to get into the lounge and indulge 😅 ! But thanks for the prayer rooms ! It is small but enough ! Separate rooms male and female ! Thumbs up ! The lounge was practically empty when we were there and in fact, we were the only guests ! Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat International Airport ( SGN) is the usual destination for those coming to the south of Vietnam. Tan Son Nhat airport is fairly small and although there are duty frees on sale the range is limited. If you want to buy any local specialities, buy before you go to the airport since you have more choices in the city center. I flew from Narita Airport to Da Nang via Ho Chi Minh City. The transit time was about 3 hours, but the flight was delayed so I couldn't get on the flight I was supposed to take...🥲 I ended up taking a flight 3 hours later to Da Nang. Tan Son Nhat International Airport is recommended for transit because the international and domestic terminals are about 5 minutes apart. This was the only lounge in operation when we were here. Fortunately, it was not very crowded. Though the lounge are is not big, there are many sitting areas and electric power plug (Vietnamese version, not universal 🔌 plug). Food: there is noodle soup available if you want some thing hot. It is located around 7 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). At the arrival hall, there is a duty free shop, a currency exchange counter (you can get a sim card) and an ATM. There are some restaurants and cafes after the arrival gate, and a few car booking counters. At the departure hall, visitors had no shortage of souvenir shops, restaurants and cafes before and after the security and passport clearance. For Star Alliance, there is no lounge for you to relax and eat, you are provided a voucher (USD 16) at Saigon Cafe Bar Kitchen to spend on it. Next year i wish to travel to Iceland.

I booked my business trip to Vietnam through Trip.com~ I thought I could only book hotels, but I found out that I could also book flights. And it was cheap. It was cheaper than other travel agencies, and I even got lounge access while using Trip.com~ It was a fun business trip~ I had fun the whole time I went to Vietnam for 3 nights and 4 days. I went to the gate thinking I'll never come to Vietnam again and I thought I'd board right away at 8:30, but it started to be delayed and I got 3 delays and boarded at 11:30.
