The Clarendon Hotel in London
The Clarendon Hotel is truly a hidden gem in London. The hotel is located at 8-16 Montpelier Row, a bit far from the city center, but this also means that the surrounding environment is particularly quiet. The transportation is also quite convenient, with a train station nearby, making it super fast to get to Greenwich and the city center.
The location is definitely one of the highlights, with Blackheath Village and Greenwich Park nearby, both within walking distance, and the scenery is really beautiful. The hotel is decorated with a touch of history, giving it a sense of age. The reception at the front desk is really warm, and from the moment we stepped into the hotel, we were warmly welcomed, and the security guard even opened the door for us, which was super friendly. The room is relatively spacious, with complete facilities, and the design of the bathroom's sensor light is a bit subtle, but it is also an interesting experience. The best part is the hotel's buffet breakfast, which is rich and delicious, and makes me feel good every morning. 🎉
Speaking of the room, I was really satisfied. I had previously booked a Crown Double Room, and as soon as I entered the room, I was healed by the super large bed. The room is overall very clean, and the view is good, but unfortunately, the pillow is a bit hard, but the bed is comfortable enough, and I slept well at night. The bathroom is well-equipped, and although there is no air conditioning, the weather in London is still okay. The bed in the hotel is especially comfortable, and after we adjusted the room, the efficiency of arranging a new room was also super high.
There are many places to eat nearby, and you can find all kinds of restaurants after a short walk, such as Kinaara and Amrutha - Honor Oak, which are simply a foodie's paradise. In your spare time, you can also visit the cafes and small shops in Blackheath Village, and spending a leisurely afternoon there is also a good choice. 🌸☕️
Although overall great, there are still some minor drawbacks. For example, the hotel is a bit nostalgic, the equipment is a bit old, and the details are slightly lacking. The most troublesome thing for me is that there are not enough parking spaces, and if you encounter an event day, it may be a bit difficult to find a parking space. Although the breakfast is delicious, the choices are slightly less for international guests.
Overall, the Clarendon Hotel is truly a wonderful place to stay in London. Although there are occasional minor flaws, the thoughtful service and warm feeling make people linger. Next time I come to London, I think I will choose here again.
