The Hideout|A Hidden Paradise
This year, the Dragon Boat Festival falls on a Saturday, so it’s not a long weekend, and there’s not much time for a quick trip elsewhere. Why not stay in Hong Kong and spend locally? If you find watching dragon boat races too crowded, you can head to The Hideout in Mui Wo, away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
Passing through Mui Wo town center, it takes about a 20-minute walk to reach The Hideout. The Hideout isn’t very big; the kitchen and serving area are mainly built from several converted shipping containers. Outside, there’s a cozy little space with large sun sails overhead, umbrellas, and a sandy ground, giving a very natural and close-to-nature feeling. The seating and small tables are designed simply and stylishly, with green trees and blue skies in the background adding a peaceful atmosphere. Sitting here with a cup of coffee or chatting with friends is definitely a perfect time to relax.
Right outside, you can see a clear lake surrounded by lush hills and tropical plants. The lake quietly reflects the blue sky and green trees, making you feel like you’re inside a natural painting. A wooden platform extends out to the lakeside, with a woven table holding a delicate cake and a drink. Sunlight shines down on it, creating a poetic scene. This place is really perfect for enjoying the tranquility of nature with a few close friends or alone, quietly reflecting on life.
In summary, at The Hideout, you can enjoy beautiful natural scenery and a comfortable atmosphere. Hope to have the chance to come again next time!
