Now, I decided to tour the travel spots in Taipei and #New Taipei ( #新北 ) that I haven't been to yet. • As soon as I woke up, I took the subway to #Fuzhong ( #府中 ) station. The actual travel time was about 20 minutes, but I arrived in New Taipei, which is equivalent to Gyeonggi-do in Seoul. Anyway, the name of the destination I visited was written below the station name. It was #Lin Family Garden ( #林家花園 )!! • There were well-placed signposts along the way to the destination, so I was able to arrive while having fun looking around. At one point, a traditional wall appeared, and anyone could tell that it was this place, and the broken glass bottles on the top of the wall brought back old memories. • Anyway, the buildings and nature were exquisitely arranged on a wide piece of land, and especially, it blends well with the ordinary residential area outside the fence, so it's so nice to look at that you won't even notice your legs hurting no matter how much you walk!! • What's even more interesting is that the Lim family, who own this mansion, fled to China's #Sukjang Garden (#菽庄花园) in Gulangyu, Xiamen, to escape the Japanese army that occupied Taiwan, and Sukjang Garden was modeled after Shanghai's Yu Garden... I'm lucky to have visited all three places that were not intentionally connected, but by a strange coincidence?! • I've been to Taiwan and Taipei many times, but I regretted not visiting sooner, but I'm glad I came now. The ancient and quaint garden bears witness to the wealthy families of two or three hundred years ago. Lin Benyuan Garden Residence is located in Banqiao District, New Taipei City. It was built by the Lin Benyuan family in Banqiao. It was designed in imitation of Suzhou's Liuyuan Garden and is the only remaining complete garden building in Taiwan. There are guided tours in the park. If you are interested, you can follow the tour during the time. Of course, you can also visit on your own. The environment is very beautiful. The park is closed on the first Monday of every month, so don’t make a wasted trip!

After getting off the MRT at Fuzhong Station that day, I took a leisurely walk along Wenchang Street for less than 10 minutes, and I crossed from the modern streets to the ancient gardens. The first thing I saw was the main road covered by green shade and willow leaves. The wooden planks, bricks and tiles, and pavilions were reflected in the pool, as if I had really walked into a movie scene. 🎋 Quiet corridor and light game Walking in the four-column corridor in front of the "Jigu Book House", the sunlight fell softly through the carved tiles. The light and shadows from the gravel road and wooden pillars under my feet made people slow down their pace unconsciously, as if reading in the poetry of the ancients. At that moment, I wanted to put away my phone and listen carefully to the sound of the wind and the sound of the wooden door.  🎭 Photo corner revealed • Imaginary theater in front of the stage: There is a small stage in front of Laiqing Pavilion. I remember standing on it and posing for a palace photo. The light and shadow color combination looks super retro - super suitable for the aesthetic shape of ancient costumes.  • Afternoon time in the pavilion by the pool: I was drinking tea by the Moon Waterside Pavilion, between the small bridge and the flowing water, and my breathing became slower under the unshaded sunlight. "Walking a little further is more healing" is what I truly experienced that time. It is a mansion and garden built by the Im family, a wealthy merchant in Taiwan in the mid-19th century, and reflects the garden style of southern China at the time. As a side note, this place is currently protected as a nationally designated cultural property. The admission fee is originally 80 TWD per person, but it is being discounted by half price due to internal construction until August or September 2025. In fact, to be exact, it is the price excluding things that cannot be seen due to the building under construction. It was a rainy day and a weekday morning, so there weren't many people. However, a Chinese guide was giving a tour explaining various places inside. Except for certain places, it was a perfect place to take a quiet walk. Built by the Lin Ben Yuan family, it is designed to mimic the Lingering Garden in Suzhou and is the most well-preserved garden architecture in Taiwan. Otherwise, you need a ticket to enter the park. It is really exciting and worth coming to see. The theme of this performance is "Magical Lights and Shadows, Playful Tour in the Garden". In addition to the night light show and dance performances, it also pioneered the "digital technology light show interaction" on-site real-time painting. Based on the pavilion architecture of Lin Family Garden, featuring lattice window sculptures and integrating light and shadow technology, it creates a dreamy visual feast. The performance has three main features: 1. The characters "Xiaofang" and "Erjia" in the 3D book "Art Appreciation of the Forest Garden" lead the audience into the magical Laiqing Pavilion to experience a fantasy dream. 2. #July Travel Support Event Imga Garden is located about 13 minutes away from the subway station (Banqiao Station) But it rained so much that day I took the bus to minimize walking ☔️ The entrance fee to Imga Garden is 80 NTD (about 3,400 KRW) The main area is currently under renovation So I got in for half the price of 40 NTD. It's about 1,700 KRW, so it's affordable 👍🏻 I recommend visiting because it's pretty and charming even on a rainy day~

The pond is so pretty and the atmosphere is great. 🌿 It's designed to keep you out of the rain, and there's a bench, so it's good for taking pictures even if you're alone! It's also good for taking a short break!
