[2025 Seoul Hotels] Travel Guide for Travelodge Myeongdong City Hall (Updated Jul)

#seoul It is our habit trying different hotels every time we are travelling even the travel was just a short one. The idea is to know in which part of the city we are staying and to explore the nearby attractions. So, this time we checked into Travelodge Myeongdong City Hall, we were quite skeptical at first but there are just lots of good reviews and we decided to experience it ourselves. Roughly it was 3kms away from the bustling Myeongdong night life and located in a quiet area, somewhere at the back of the main road. The only thing we liked about this hotel is the room, it is so roomy unlike the typical central Myeongdong hotels, if you know what I mean. And the hotel is practically new ! 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 ! Oh the hotel is running a good deal when we were there, it was stay 3 nights but pay for 2 nights only. Do check further if it is still available. #mytripvlog #tripblazers #valentinescape

Arcade Tobe City Hall Station If you exit from City Hall Station Exit 4 and go down to the basement level of the building right next to it, you will find a cafe. This is the second branch of Anguk Tobe, and it is already incredibly popular. Customers kept coming in until just before closing time, and the waiting line was quite long. (That's why there are pictures..ㅎㅎ...) You can see the tea making process in front of the store, and the shaved ice is made inside and brought to you. The tea menu is largely divided into oolong tea, white tea, and black tea, and there is also milk tea and shaved ice, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors. The store, with its impressive red carpet and bar seats, has a modern Kitsaten atmosphere overall. If you want to enjoy Tobe, I recommend Open Run.

🛁 Recommended Hotel in Korea｜Close to Myeongdong, with a fantastic bathtub! We stayed at Travelodge Myeongdong City Hall, which offers convenient transportation and our favorite feature—a bathtub in the room! After walking nearly 20 kilometers daily in Korea, soaking in a hot bath and relaxing our feet at night felt incredibly soothing. 📍 Excellent location, near Myeongdong and Namdaemun Market We stayed here for a few days after returning to Seoul from Busan and before heading back to Thailand. The itinerary was seamless! 🚄 Super convenient transportation: － Direct subway line from Seoul Station － Easy KTX access to and from Busan － Airport bus from the hotel directly to Incheon Airport, with frequent schedules and plenty of seats 🏨 Modern, stylish, and clean rooms, perfect for photos Each floor has a water dispenser, and the hotel offers comprehensive facilities: gym, self-service laundry, microwave, pantry area, restaurant, and café!

Four days is actually just right for Seoul—not too long, not too short. Perfect for a girls' trip to shop and explore (we went to Olive Young four times!). Olive Young shopping haul (based on recommendations from IG and YouTube): - Torriden Blue Hydrating Mask: 8,700 won for 6 pieces - Goodal Vita C Serum: Seems to be a relatively new brand? - Torriden Eye Cream: I know Torriden products are great, so I decided to try their eye cream. It costs around HK$100. - Numbuzin No. 3 Mask (not sure if I spelled it right): This No. 3 mask has been super popular lately. - Roundlab Sunscreen: The packaging is covered with award logos 😹 Sightseeing spots: - Deoksugung Palace: Just a short walk from our hotel. A bit further away is Gyeongbokgung Palace. Deoksugung is quite small, but if you love traditional architecture, it's worth a visit. It's not crowded. - Myeongdong: Not exactly a sightseeing spot, but it's great for shopping and food. There's a huge Olive Young store and HBAF snacks (I don't like nuts, but their seaweed chips are delicious 🙌🙌). I also bought a jacket from Spao for just around $250! But honestly, it was super crowded, and it rained that day 😭😭. - Seongsu-dong: A trendy area with lots of young people, street culture shops, and cafes. Korean cafes are often high-quality—beautiful and delicious 😋. - Jeongdong-gil (Stone Wall Road): Located right outside Deoksugung Palace. The road is stunning, especially with the autumn leaves. It's perfect for photos. There's also a beautiful Western restaurant called Oddhaus—highly recommended! - Namsangol Hanok Village: Compared to Bukchon Hanok Village, this place is quieter and less crowded. - Dongdaemun: Tons of clothing stores with great prices, but make sure to negotiate!

The barbecue restaurants around are even more attractive! 😋 The rooms are very clean and tidy, with good sound insulation, so there is no noisy sound when sleeping at night. The room is decorated in a modern and comfortable style. The rooms are equipped with heating and air conditioning. The bedding is clean and soft, making it very comfortable to live in. Free Wi-Fi access is also available. The 24-hour front desk provides luggage storage services. The coffee shop also serves a variety of breakfast, light dishes and a wide range of beverages. In short, it is cost-effective and highly recommended!
