Chiang Mai Hotel PART
During this group trip to Chiang Mai, we stayed at Travelodge Nimman, also known as "Chiang Mai Nimman Smart Hotel." Honestly, I initially chose it for its location in the bustling Nimman Road area, but after staying there, I realized it’s not just the convenient location that stands out—the overall environment and facilities are truly satisfying. This is a city hotel that perfectly embodies the concept of "simple yet stylish."
🏙 First and foremost, I must highlight its location! Step out of the hotel, turn right, and within a minute, you’ll reach One Nimman. Across the street is the MAYA Shopping Center, where you can find restaurants, shops, massage parlors, and supermarkets—all within walking distance. In the evening, you can easily visit a rooftop bar, explore a handmade market, or even walk to Think Park for a cup of coffee. If you’re someone who enjoys wandering around and exploring spontaneously, this place is absolutely ideal.
🏨 As for the rooms, they maintain Travelodge’s signature minimalist style: simple, clean, and practical. The walls and furniture feature understated colors, and the bed is soft yet supportive—perfect for a good night’s sleep after a long flight. The room is equipped with universal power outlets, adjustable lighting, and basic amenities. Most importantly, the air conditioning is strong, and the water pressure is stable, making showers incredibly comfortable!
🧼 The overall space design avoids unnecessary decorations, but every function is thoughtfully executed:
✔️ A desk suitable for laptop work, ideal for digital nomads
✔️ Large windows with excellent natural lighting during the day
✔️ Daily housekeeping to maintain cleanliness
🍳 Breakfast is simple yet sincere, served buffet-style with options like congee and side dishes, bread, scrambled eggs, salad, coffee, and juice—covering all the essentials. I particularly enjoyed their fresh and crisp salads, which gave me a refreshing start to each day.
🏊♀️ There’s a small rooftop pool—not large, but perfect for a few morning laps and some sunbathing. It’s also a great spot for photos. For fitness enthusiasts, the gym, though compact, is well-equipped with treadmills, dumbbells, and exercise bikes, allowing you to maintain your workout routine during your trip.
✅ This hotel is especially recommended for:
✔️ First-time visitors to Chiang Mai
✔️ Backpackers and couples who appreciate a chic vibe and convenient surroundings
✔️ Those who want to stay in a lively area without the noise (the rooms are surprisingly soundproof)
✔️ Budget-conscious travelers who still want a stylish stay
💰 Overall, the value for money is excellent, especially during the off-season when room rates are incredibly affordable. On the day we booked, the price was even under 1000 THB!!!
Yes, you read that right—less than 1000 THB for a hotel right in the heart of the shopping district!
The experience, however, was on par with top-tier accommodations in Chiang Mai. I even think it’s better than some luxurious hotels with fancy decor but inconvenient locations.
📌 To sum up:
Travelodge Nimman is definitely the kind of hotel that makes you want to return again and again. With its clean and minimalist space, unbeatable location, friendly and professional service, and incredibly comfortable beds, it has everything you need for a perfect trip.
