Location: Vungtau in Vietnam. Getting there: Vungtao city is located 90 minutes on boat from Ho Chi Minh. We stayed in Vung Tau for four nights at the Cao Hotel. There are two beaches in Vung Tao. One is called front beach and one is called back beach. I recommend staying at front beach. Many five star hotels line up here and you have excellent access to the beach. This beach city is cheaper than most in Asia and it's really nice to swim and relax. Even in the winter, it's warm! #vungtau #vietnam

I recently spent a few days exploring Vũng Tàu and was pleasantly surprised by how much this coastal city offers beyond just beaches. It’s only about two hours from Ho Chi Minh City, making it a perfect weekend getaway. Beaches & Scenery Front Beach (Bãi Trước) is more relaxed, great for sunset strolls and people-watching, while Back Beach (Bãi Sau) is livelier with soft sand and waves, ideal for swimming or parasailing. The coastal roads offer stunning cliffside views, especially near Hải Đăng Lighthouse—definitely worth the short hike. Food & Cafes Seafood in Vũng Tàu is fresh, affordable, and everywhere! I loved dining at Gành Hào and trying local dishes like bánh khọt (crispy mini pancakes). For coffee lovers, there are some beautifully designed beachfront cafes like Soho and Marina Club where you can sip a drink while watching the waves roll in. Overall Vibe Vũng Tàu feels laid-back yet vibrant—a great mix of nature, local culture, and modern comforts. It’s a wonderful escape if you want a slower pace and some sea breeze. I visited Vung Tau last weekend for the trail marathon , we must conquer every single peak of this oceanic city . It’s hectic n miserable but funny . Then i go for Luca Pizza, Russian Donuts , many many attempts on fruit tea + milk tea . The weather ‘s perfect on race date . However due to the sleepless night before , i was only able to finish half the course . I’d recommend guys to visit Cho Xom Luoi for seafood hunting steal

The traditional market in Vung Tau, Vietnam, is cheap and the people are friendly. In particular, if you get a nail art service in the market, it costs 3,000 Korean won per person and they will carefully trim your fingernails and toenails. Also, if you go to a shop that cleans your ears, they will clean out earwax that has accumulated for decades using various tools. One of our group was very surprised when he found a piece of earwax the size of his little fingertip because it was his first time getting earwax. The service charge is 2,000 Korean won~~

#NatureTourism On our latest trip to Ho Chi Minh City, we planned to visit other nearby cities that we had never been to and were not too far away. So my friend suggested that we try going to Vung Tau, a resort town where Saigonians like to relax because it is only 2 hours away from Saigon. It feels like going from Bangkok to Pattaya. This town is not crowded and the weather is cool and comfortable with some rain. In the evening, there are a lot of people playing in the water at the beach. If you have a chance, I recommend you try going there. #MissingNature
