Phu Pang Forest Temple, Ban Phaniat, Sri Mueang Mai District, Ubon Ratchathani Province
Wat Pa Phu Pang (Thammayut) is located in Ban Phaniat, Tambon Nam Taeng, Amphoe Si Mueang Mai, Ubon Ratchathani Province. It was started in 1993 by Luang Pho Phra Thep Mongkol Yan Wi. (Santi Analayo), abbot of Wat Phutthabucha, Bang Mot, Bangkok, and the National Office of Buddhism announced the establishment of Wat Pa Phu Pang in Buddhism on August 18, 2008.
Wat Pa Phu Pang is not only a place for meditation, but also a place for pilgrimage to Luang Pu Man Phurithatto and also has the most beautiful Phra Phuttha Maha Chakraphat Phra Than Phon in Ubon Ratchathani Province. There is also Luang Pho Ong Dam for worship, as well as a replica of the Buddha Gaya pagoda (with the relics of the Lord Buddha enshrined in the replica of the Buddha Gaya pagoda). In addition, Wat Pa Phu Pang also has other tourist attractions within the temple, such as the chapel, the Somdet Ong Phatom shrine.
