Found another great place in Shenzhen for a family vacation with kids
Kids love playing in the water and digging in the sand. This time, I specifically asked for his opinion, and the beach was still the first choice. Considering this is a family trip, I found this hotel by the sea online. The family suite layout is nice (with two bathrooms) and the transportation is convenient. Overall, the experience was great—the kids had fun, and the adults had their own space to relax.
🏡 Dual-view bedrooms: sea and mountain views from the windows
The master bedroom and the other bedroom both have windows facing the open sea. When you open the curtains in the morning, the waves rolling onto the beach come into view, and the sunlight sparkling on the sea is especially soothing. The second bedroom faces lush mountain scenery, where you can see morning mist around the hills and in the evening the mountain shadows turn warm orange in the sunset. These two views combine the openness of the sea with the tranquility of the mountains. The kids happily run to the bay window to gaze at the sea as soon as they wake up🌊
🏞️ Balcony viewing corner: greenery framed with sea and mountains
The balcony has two rattan chairs with cushions, and green plants like pothos and monstera are placed on the side, naturally creating a comfortable viewing spot. Sitting on the chairs in the morning and evening, you can watch fishing boats sailing on the sea and people strolling on the beach. The kids like to move small stools to lean on the railing and watch the seagulls. We sip tea here and while away the time. The sea breeze mixed with the scent of greenery slows down the pace of traveling with kids.
🏘️ Family-friendly facilities: two bathrooms + kitchen + projector
The big screen projector is the kids’ favorite. Just plug it in and it projects a clear picture. The kids turn on cartoons as soon as they enter the room and watch attentively on the sofa. The projector has good image quality and the light is not harsh. While the kids watch cartoons, parents can rest nearby, which is a rare relaxing moment during a family trip. The only downside is that the room doesn’t have special family decorations like a kids’ tent or a play corner, so parents of younger children might need to bring extra entertainment items. The two-bathroom design solves the problem of washing up with kids, so the whole family can use them without crowding. 🍝 Hotel dining
Breakfast is mainly simple meals, offering a choice between shredded meat noodles or shredded meat rice noodles daily, accompanied by bread and fruit. The meals are simple but can basically meet morning nutritional needs.
🏖️ Moon God Restaurant & Bar: coconut curry and seaside afternoon tea
The curry chicken and fried spring rolls at the beach bar are highly recommended. The freshly made iced lemon tea is refreshing and cuts through the richness. There are many newlyweds taking wedding photos on the beach, and during low tide, we collected many oysters with the kids on the sand.
🚇 Transportation tips: bus stop and direct shuttle downstairs
There is a bus stop right downstairs from the hotel, making travel convenient. On the way back, we wanted to take the 192 direct shuttle to Shenzhen Bay Park (which goes directly from the hotel entrance to near the park, saving transfers), but due to low weekend frequency, we didn’t catch it. It’s recommended to check the schedule in advance with navigation apps. If you catch the shuttle, after visiting the park you can watch the sunset over the sea on the way back, enjoying the sea view. For families with kids, the direct route is more worry-free.
