The highlight of the stay was the "rural living experience" provided by the guesthouse—hand-grinding soybeans to make tofu, roasting glutinous rice cakes by the fire, and more. Kids had a blast, and adults were able to relive childhood memories. The owner, Ah Tao, was as friendly as an old friend. Not only did he upgrade our room for free, but he also took us on a nighttime village tour, where we tasted freshly picked vegetables and fruits. He even invited us to try the local specialty, "sour bamboo shoot tofu fish," a dish so authentic and flavorful that it left a lasting impression.
