My second visit to Siguniangshan, and for the first night in Siguniangshan Town, I chose Kongshan Homestay again. Last time, we stayed in the Guobumeidu and Muweliu room types. This time, with a last-minute afternoon booking, we had no choice but the Pianma Snow Mountain Room. Though it also has a window view facing Yaomei Peak, the vista isn’t as expansive as the previous two room types. Fortunately, the homestay’s restaurant and its rooftop are the best spots for photos with Yaomei Peak. Compared to my last trip when the peaks were shrouded in clouds, this time luck was on our side—not only was it sunny most of the time, but we also encountered a rare heavy snowfall. The snow-capped Yaomei Peak was absolutely magical. Kongshan Homestay is located in Changping Village on the mountainside, naturally quieter than the town center—perfect for introverts like us who prefer tranquility. The village has almost no commercial amenities, so I recommend dining in town before heading up or pre-booking the homestay’s yak hotpot in advance~

Mount Siguniang🏔️, the most "costume-changing" sacred mountain in Western Sichuan. On cloudy days, the mist clings to the mountain like crushed cotton, with Yaomei Peak always playing hide-and-seek—sometimes revealing half its icy ridge through lead-gray clouds, only to be swallowed whole by rolling fog moments later, leaving only steep silhouettes faintly visible in the haze... Changping Valley is more outdoor-oriented, with primitive forests and streams to see. It mainly relies on hiking or horseback riding. I immediately took ibuprofen, and I had no altitude sickness in the later stage. ⚠️Some tips: 1⃣️Friends who want to ride horses can choose to ride horses in the first half of the journey. The price of riding horses in the second half is ridiculously expensive. Of course, if you are already very tired at this time, you have no choice but to ride horses. 2⃣️Be sure to go to the end, Muluozi. The scenery of Muluozi really made me cry. The primitive forest along the way is very beautiful, but Muluozi is even more beautiful. 3⃣️Prepare enough food, it is best to bring self-heating rice, rice is really a good thing to replenish physical strength. You can only have the strength to hike when you are full. 4⃣️The last bus must be taken at 17:00 on the same day (in fact, there are many local private cars that can pick up passengers after 17:00, so don’t worry about not being able to return to the mountain town. For safety, it is recommended to arrive earlier and calculate the hiking time. 5⃣️It is best to bring an umbrella. The weather in the mountains is unpredictable. We were lucky enough to have a heavy rain when we were about to walk to the scenic spot exit. You must avoid catching a cold and take care of yourself when you are out.
