I started my trip at Yiwu Railway Station, super convenient and well-connected. From there, first stop — food, of course! Yiwu is surprisingly known for its Middle Eastern cuisine, thanks to its huge international trade scene. We grabbed lunch at a local Middle Eastern restaurant — kebabs, hummus, and freshly baked bread — honestly, better than I expected. Don’t miss Lei Feng Fruit Juice, a popular spot nearby for fresh, made-to-order juices. Perfect for cooling down before diving into shopping. Next up was the famous Yiwu International Trade Market, specifically the District 1 East Expansion Area. During my business trip to Yiwu, I made time to explore Qingkou Night Market, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my stay. The atmosphere is absolutely buzzing! Bright lights, sizzling grills, packed crowds, and a real sense of local life. The market is divided into a general merchandise section and a food area, which features about 70 stalls serving up everything from Changsha stinky tofu to grilled crayfish, beef soup, and takoyaki. It’s like a mini food tour of China all in one place. That said, there are a few things to be prepared for: 🚨🚧 The public toilet is extremely dirty, so I highly recommend using the restroom at your hotel before heading over. 🚨🚧 The floor gets messy, especially in the food zone, skewer sticks, paper, and oil are everywhere. I actually almost slipped on a skewer stick while walking, so do be careful, especially if you're wearing sandals or heels. Crowds really pick up around 8pm, and while that adds to the energy, it also makes the place feel a bit chaotic. Vendors are even livestreaming as they cook, it's a whole show. Still, despite the mess, the night market vibe is strong, and it’s worth visiting just to soak in the local culture and enjoy some good eats. ✨ Final Thoughts ✨: If you’re in Yiwu and want to experience the real street food scene, Qingkou Night Market is a must-see. I'm obsessed with this hotel in Yiwu's Fotang Town!! I recently stayed at the Borrman Hotel (Yiwu Fotang Branch) during a trip to Fotang, Yiwu, and the experience was absolutely top-notch! I just had to share it with you all~ 🏨 Hotel Location The hotel is located in Fotang Town, Yiwu City, a super convenient location! It's surrounded by all sorts of delicious food and shopping malls, so you can easily indulge in some retail therapy and culinary delights just steps away. It's also incredibly close to Fotang Ancient Town, only about a 15-minute walk away 🚶‍♀️. Returning from the ancient town in the evening is super easy, so no need to worry about the journey back. 🛏️ Room Environment As soon as I entered the room, I was captivated by the spacious and bright space. The overall decor is simple yet stylish, with attention to detail that truly reflects quality. The bedding is incredibly soft and comfortable; lying on it felt like being enveloped by a cloud ☁. I slept soundly and didn't even dream all night! The soundproofing in the room is also excellent. Once the door is closed, the outside noise seems to disappear, allowing you to enjoy a completely quiet and private space. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and is fully equipped with high-quality toiletries. What's particularly impressive is the in-room smart technology. Compared to similar hotels, the price is relatively affordable, and they often have special offers and packages. During my stay, I managed to snag a package that included breakfast and tickets to the ancient town, which made it an incredibly good deal. Jī Míng Gé (Chicken Singing Pavilion) is about 100m from the station. 🎫 Tickets: Free. To enter the pavilion, purchase tickets for 24 RMB on the "Yiwu Tong" official account. 🕙 Duration: 1–2 hrs 🚗 Directions: Navigate to "Jī Míng Gé (Chicken Singing Pavilion) Parking Lot" if driving or taking a taxi.
