Share Fukuoka 8 days 7 nights travel plan 🇯🇵 This trip, I changed my sleeping place 1 time, so prepare a small bag. 😆 Day 1: - BKK —>> FUK at 5 am, arrive around 9 am Thai Vietjet Airlines (I recommend buying Deluxed for convenience when checking in and getting 20 kg of luggage. The price is not much different from buying the normal type ✨) - Land then leave your bags at the accommodation. We stayed at APA Hotel Hakata Higashihie Ekimae, just 2 train stations from the airport. - Then go to Teamlab Forest Fukuoka. The building has a restaurant. Stop to eat at the mall before going in. - The first day, go shopping at the mall because I didn't prepare clothes. Day 2: - Go to Uminonakamiji Aquarium. There is a dolphin show and a penguin show. In the middle of the falling snow, it was so beautiful. - In the afternoon, we went shopping at the mall and looked for a restaurant to eat. Day 3: - We left early in the morning to Kumamoto Castle by Shinkansen. (Booked in advance from the JR website) - In the morning, go for a walk at Kamitori shopping arcade I got a pair of ON shoes ✨ - Take the train around the city and return to Hakata in the evening. Use the JR Pass to book a return train ticket at the counter. Day 4: - Check-out from the hotel, leave your luggage in a locker at Hakata Station, take a small bag instead, take the Yufuin no mori train (special trains must be booked in advance via the JR website only and can be booked 30 days in advance) - Visit Yufuin and check in at Pension Yufugoiki (entry at 15:00, grandparents are very cute, highly recommended‼️) Day 5: - Go to Beppu, take the train from Yufuin to use the JR Pass, book directly at the counter. - Visit Hells of Beppu, red hot springs - Walk and find something to eat and return to Yufuin to rest Day 6: - Check out and find something to eat before taking the same train back to Hakata - Check in at Toyo Hotel - Visit the temples at Nanzoin temple is a beautiful big Buddha temple and pray before going back Day 7: - Wake up early to go to Ainishima Island (Recommend to stop by to buy cat food at the mall before going. Yufuin in the rainy season is also beautiful. Yufuin, a lovely city that looks like it's in a Ghibli Studio. This city is located in the Kyushu region. We can travel from Fukuoka in about 2 hours. On this trip, I traveled alone, so I chose to travel by train. We used the JR Kyushu Pass, which can be used to reserve the legendary Yufuin no Mori train. We went to this city during the rainy season. Although it looked a bit lonely, the green from the trees and the white fog made this city look like it was in a fairy tale. I went to Yufuin, a place I've always wanted to visit. Starting from JR Yufuin Station, I walked along the main street! There were rows of delicious-looking gourmet and sweet shops. As I walked down the street, enjoying eating chicken tempura, candied sweet potatoes, crepes, and other foods, I heard a light sound of footsteps behind me. It was a horse! I would highly recommend to stay at least one night there as there are many eateries and unique shops around. If you are a Ghibli fan, this is the place you should visit! You can go to KiKi’s bakery shop and the village just looks like a scene from the studio Ghibli’s movies. Perfect.

It was good for a quick meal and the atmosphere was good, so I was satisfied. 💬 Fukuoka Trip 2025 — Light-hearted travel but heavy on impressions 🇯🇵🫶 2 days in Kyushu without chasing landmarks, but with a lot of good feelings to take home with you 💼💛 🗓️ Day 1: Chikugo Regional Park This morning, we left Fukuoka for Chikugo – a small city that is almost nowhere in anyone’s plans, but let me tell you… it’s so good 🍃 Walking into Chikugo Regional Park, I knew that today would be the lightest day of the trip 🌳 The park is very large, with rivers, lawns, walking paths, cycling, or even picnic mats. We stopped to eat the bento box we bought from the train station before entering. While watching the river and clouds move slowly, it felt like time really slowed down. There are many beautiful photo spots, especially the wooden bridge with the river view with grass swaying in the wind – the best mood 🍂 In the afternoon, we continued walking to a small gallery and souvenir shop from local crafts. Supporting handmade products is so heartwarming ✨ 🗓️ Day 2: Yufuin — The dream hot spring town This is a town that everyone should visit at least once in their life… I tell you 🥹💦 We took the train from Fukuoka for about 2 hours. The view along the way was beautiful in a truly rural Japanese style, green all over 🌾 As soon as we arrived at Yufuin Station, the mood changed immediately — it's a small town surrounded by mountains, wooden buildings, cute cafes, and local sweet shops. It felt like we were in a Studio Ghibli movie set 🌸 🍮 Walked to eat hot grilled mochi 🛍️ Stopped by to see handmade woodwork 📸 And ended by walking to Kinrin Lake, where the water reflected the sky beautifully until it was quiet for a moment 🌅 Before going back, we stopped to soak our feet in a roadside hot spring (free!). A 2 half hour Limited Express Train to Yufuin - Rural yet trendy. Another fantastic getaway destination we saw on korean blogs - absolutely charming though was less well-known compared to Beppu Onsen, Yufuin was enchanting in its rights. After checking in the hotel, We walked along the street filled with little restaurants, cafes and craft shops. Almost every little souvenir shops amused me with its beautiful decors and cute packaging and we spent a lot of time taking photos with Mount Yufu at the background. One of my favourites is Yufuin Floral Village and there you would find mini-farm, owl forest zoo cat cafe and many shops , among others, allowing us to take photos in every corner and every few seconds. There were art museums , boutiques - suitable for those who appreciate art or wanted to learn about a new culture. There were many rice paddies and farm houses too. Lake Kinrinko was an iconic sight see, with small shops and cafes, and a small shrine around it. The lake had clear waters , filled with koi fishes, surrounded by lush greenery and a beautiful torii gate right in the water. It was absolutely stunning. Soon, the night falls and we decided to route back, following the small canal that ran from the lake, back to our hotel. The walk was a lttle longer but it was scenic and beautiful. The traditional Japanese hotel that we stayed had a private onsen which we booked for a good 50 mins. It had a large open-air bath and an indoor bath. We were able to use both. I love bath especially so , knowing that the hot springs renowned for their beneficial effects. The next day, we got up early to Lake Kinrinko again as we wanted to soak in the breathtaking scenery which was very therapeutic for us, before taking a train back to Hakata.
