2025 Sentosa Island Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in July)

#AprilGoodDestinations2025 A month after I returned from a trip to Singapore, I saw a report online that the Merlion on Sentosa Island was about to be demolished. I originally thought it was fake news on the Internet, but later I checked other reports and confirmed that the Merlion was really going to become history. The Merlion Tower was unveiled by then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew on September 15, 1972. There are a total of seven Merlion statues in Singapore, located in the Singapore Tourism Board, Sentosa Island, Mount Faber and Ang Mo Kio, but the most famous is the Merlion Park near Marina Bay. The Merlion on Sentosa Island is 37 meters high and is the landmark of Sentosa Island. There are two observation decks on the Merlion, one located at the lion's mouth on the 9th floor and the other at the top of the lion's head on the 12th floor. There are 320 scales on the Merlion's body made of optical fiber, which change colors at night. This year, as Singapore celebrates its 54th anniversary of independence, the Merlion was beautifully decorated in front of it. This is my last photo with the Merlion. The Lion Tower was demolished on October 21, 2019 and will be converted into a 400-meter-high scenic corridor directly leading to the beach, connecting the north and south coasts. You can have a wonderful time on this island, which is famous for its beaches with 3.2 km of unspoiled white sand. Transportation to the island by metro is completely free until September 30, 2022, and you can also find a free shuttle bus within the island. There are many activities on the island. If you want, you can go to the universal studio or you can swim in the sea and enjoy the beach. As soon as you arrive on the island, get a booklet with events and times, you can find them everywhere. Festive Walk is a quaint walkway running through the centre of Resorts World Sentosa towards the beaches on the island. Lined along its sides are various eateries and restaurants, and can be accessed via monorail at the Resorts World Sentosa station. I really like this space because there are small fountains dotting the area, giving it a serene ambience. You will also find seating all around to just stop and rest at. The best part is that it’s sheltered so you can visit without worries about the weather that day! A whole new Christmas vibes and adventure rides at Universal studios❤️ we got to see and meet so many universal characters including Santa Claus and also tried Christmas specials at the restaurants. Although the queue was too long for few rides,we upgraded our passes to express pass and skipped the queue. . . The bungy tower can be seen from afar as it stands about 50m tall. At the Skypark, you can do a bungee jump, or walk on the sky bridge which is 40m long with sections that you can look through or sit on the giant swing, The bungee jump drops you into a pool below and is very fun indeed, in fact there are some regulars at the park. To get there, easiest is to find a beach shuttle stop and take a beach shuttle that drops you right outside the bungee jump building. Getting There - Get there by MRT to Sentosa Island, thru Vivocity Attractions - USS is a dream place.
