Terengganu drawbridge ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The journey from Bentong to take pictures at night is beautiful. Once here, you can stop by the payang market in 15 minutes from the drawbridge. At a certain time this drawbridge will be closed for passage and the bridge will be lifted. Don't forget to look for a flour dip shop when you get to Terengganu. You can also try breakfast at the shop on the toll road. #terengganudrawbridge #jalanjalanpantaitimur

Kapas Island
Kapas Island is another one of Malaysia’s picture-perfect paradise islands, with beaches here that look exactly like those you’d see on a postcard of yesteryear. Nowadays, it more resembles the beaches on your Instagram feed; palms nod over fine, white sand, lapped by clear seas which lead out into a beautiful turquoise-blue vista.
Just off the coast from the town of Marang in Terengganu, Kapas really is one of Malaysia’s most beautiful islands. It’s a paradise for snorkeling and diving, with a wide array of marine life – the coral here is bright and vivid – always an incredible sight.
As well as the great beaches, this tropical island in the South China Sea is also known as the main location for researching Amphidromus, an enigmatic species of snail with colorful shells.

Chococake & Beach Breeze — A Love Story with No Willpower 🏖️
Walked into Chococake Cafe with full confidence like,
“I’ll just have a drink.”
5 minutes later: Holding a tray with chocolate lava cake, triple-layer brownies, and something called “Death by Chocolate”.
Mood: Already halfway there.
Tried to take aesthetic dessert photos…
But couldn’t resist a bite.
Now my pictures look like they were taken mid-crime scene — chocolate smudged, one spoon missing, no regrets.
Also me:
👩⚖️ “I deserve this.”
🧠 “For what?”
👩⚖️ “For surviving Tuesday.”
The cafe smells like heaven, looks like Pinterest, and the only thing melting faster than the cake is my willpower.
Chococake Cafe — you didn’t just feed me.
You emotionally supported me with cocoa therapy.

Terengganu Escape: Hot Weather, Chill Vibes
When life gets too hectic and your brain starts buffering mid-sentence, it’s time for a trip. So I packed my bags (overpacked, obviously) and escaped to Terengganu — land of beaches, beautiful mosques, and enough heat to cook an egg on the sidewalk.
I had two options: the bus (8 hours of "are we there yet?") or a flight to Sultan Mahmud Airport. I chose the flight, because I love pretending I’m a jet-setter even when I’m flying economy and eating peanuts for dinner.
First stop: the Terengganu Drawbridge. It’s fancy, it’s futuristic, and it made me feel like I was in a sci-fi movie. I waited 15 minutes hoping it would open dramatically... it didn’t. But it made a great photo backdrop while I melted in the heat like a human satay.
Next was the iconic Masjid Kristal — a mosque so shiny I almost saw my future in its reflection. Pro tip: visit during the day if you want to see the "sparkle," but bring sunglasses unless you enjoy being temporarily blinded by holy architecture.
Then came Pasar Payang, where I planned to "just look around" and ended up with three batik shirts, keropok, and a suspiciously strong urge to bargain like my aunty at a wedding sale. 10/10 shopping experience.
Now let’s talk food. I had keropok lekor so fresh, it was probably still emotionally attached to the fish. Chewy, salty, and dangerously addictive. Then I tried ikan celup tepung (ICT) by the beach — deep-fried seafood that made me question why I ever ate.
Terengganu, you were a sweaty, shiny, salty dream. Can’t wait to come back for round two.

My First Time at Masjid Kristal — Like Walking into a Dream
Visited the iconic Masjid Kristal in Terengganu for the very first time… and wow. I wasn’t ready. 😍
It’s not just a mosque — it looks like it was built out of moonlight and glass.
Shimmering domes, reflections on the water, and architecture that makes you whisper “SubhanAllah” without even thinking.
Walked in thinking I’d snap a few pics.
Walked out feeling calm, amazed, and a little bit like I just stepped out of a royal palace.
Also: 10/10 recommend going just before sunset — the glow hits different. 🌅
Another one ticked off the travel bucket list — and my camera roll is officially full.
Masjid Kristal, you are truly a masterpiece. ✨

Found My Chill at Pantai Pandak: Sip.Trg
Went to Pantai Pandak thinking I was ready for the beach vibes.
Spoiler: I wasn’t ready for the hot weather in Terengganu 🔥
I could feel my eyebrows evaporating.
My spirit? Half gone.
Then came the rescue — one icy cold, creamy, heavenly matcha strawberry from sip.trg cafe
One sip and BOOM — instant aircond for the soul.
I didn’t just cool down — I spiritually ascended.
Was it the matcha? Was it the strawberry?
Or was it just my brain defrosting after baking in the sun? 😵💫
Either way, I sat there by the beach, dramatic sunglasses on, pretending the matcha saved my life — because it kinda did.
Note to self: If you’re going to survive Pantai Pandak, bring two things:
1. SPF
2. Matcha strawberry in both hands 💅

Sun, Sweat & Saltwater – Terengganu’s Tough Love
Started the day feeling adventurous—ended it sunburnt, salty, and completely in love with nature (and mildly at war with my calves).
⛰️ Hiked up Bukit Singa like a champ—or at least like someone who regrets not doing more squats. The view at the top? Unreal. Cliffside drama, turquoise waters, and me wheezing in every selfie.
🌴 Then headed to Kapas Island and instantly forgot how sore I was.
🚣♀️ Kayaking around crystal-clear waters with fish that are clearly living their best lives. I, meanwhile, was trying to steer in a straight line like it was a driving test from hell.
☀️ Sun: aggressive.
💪 Arms: weak.
🧘♀️ Vibes: immaculate.
Finished the day with 327 photos, 2 liters of sweat, and a new respect for nature (and SPF 50).
Highly recommend if you love good views, sea breezes, and humble pie served with a side of sore legs.

Malaysia • Terengganu | A Quiet Dream by the Sea
#springitinerary
If Penang is the lively soul of old Nanyang, then Terengganu feels like a quiet dream tucked away in the tropics.
I watched sunlight dance across the clear blue sea, while the gentle hum of mosque prayers floated on the breeze through coconut trees. Most people rush through here just to get to Redang or Perhentian, but I swear — this east coast town is worth slowing down for.
I spent a day wandering through Kampung Cina, Terengganu’s old Chinatown. Colorful shophouses lined the streets, their weathered wooden doors and vintage hanging lights made me feel like I’d walked into an old film.
There were aunties selling handmade kuih, quiet temples nestled between buildings, and murals hiding in narrow alleys. Every corner had a kind of faded beauty — it felt like flipping through a photo album of someone’s sweet, simple past.
My favorite spots to explore:
🌈 Rainbow Bridge & the night views along the river
🎨 Painted Alleys and nostalgic murals
🐈 The soft charm of old doors, cats in windows, and iron grilles along the five-foot ways
🕌 Crystal Mosque — shining like a dream across the water
If you ever find yourself on the East Coast, take your time in Terengganu. You might come for the islands, but you’ll remember the stillness, the history, and that golden, gentle sunset.
