At 5:30 a.m., your 4X4 ride roars into the rainforest, bouncing wildly through muddy tracks as mist lingers above the canopy. It’s wild, it’s shaky, and yes—it’s exhilarating. The 1.2km jungle trail to the waterfall takes roughly 45 minutes, crossing rivers and rocky slopes. Even for non-hikers, it’s doable with a good guide and rented water shoes. I brought mine for RM10 from city —best decision ever. Arrive early and you might witness the waterfall lit by morning sun, casting a perfect rainbow through the mist. November to February is peak season for this spectacle, but even during late June, nature did not disappoint.

#favouriteitinerary A place for nature lover and early bird sunriser chaser. My friends and I woke up at 5am, in Kuantan and need to drive about 40 to 45 minutes to here. It may take 40 minutes up to the top of the bukit and it certainly is a panoramic view that awaits you at the top. At the top, a low level early morning cloud layers immediately made the views special, when the sun rises, it become even more beautiful.

The water is cool and the air is refreshing and soothing. Way to the waterfall is a hiking trail, it takes about half an hour to reach the waterfall from the starting point for amateur hiker. The last part of the trail is quite challenging as it is a way that needs to walk through stones in the water stream and the stone is quite slippery. Nevertheless, there are ropes all along the way for you to grab and assist you in your hiking. Besides that, a pair of good shoes is recommended to walk through the trail. If you have no hiking shoes, there is rubber shoes renting at price of RM3 for those who does not have a suitable gear to walk.
