Lovely Day Trip from Manchester to Llandudno, Wales
We did a day trip from Manchester to Llandudno and it was such a nice break from the city. The drive took about 1.5–2 hours and was really smooth, with some beautiful views as we got closer to the coast.
Once we arrived, we hopped on the Llandudno Great Orme Tramway, one of the few cable-hauled trams still running since 1902! It's a cute little tram that climbs up to Great Orme with stops along the way. Not too expensive, super relaxing, and a great way to take in the views without too much walking.

Llandudno itself is a charming little town with a calm vibe, perfect for a short getaway. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something chill to do for the day from Manchester.
Wales road trip 🚙
#roadtrips
Just wrapped up an unforgettable road trip through Wales, and it exceeded every expectation! We started in Cardiff, exploring the iconic Cardiff Castle (entrance around £14), before hitting the open roads to discover the country’s incredible scenery. Driving through the Brecon Beacons was a highlight—rugged hills, hidden waterfalls, and sheep everywhere you look!
Snowdonia National Park was the next stop. We didn’t have time to hike Snowdon, but the drive alone offered jaw-dropping views. We took a detour to Conwy, a charming town with a medieval castle (entry was about £11). The historic vibe combined with the seaside setting made it magical.
What really stood out about Wales was the peacefulness of the countryside. Every stop felt like a hidden gem, from quiet coastal towns to majestic mountains. Whether you’re into hiking, history, or just soaking up natural beauty, Wales has it all. I can’t wait to go back and explore even more!

Aberfforest Beach, Wales
#getgoing2025
Aberfforest Beach, Wales
A horseshoe-shaped little bay halfway between Dina Cross and Newport, on Aberfforest Beach you are significantly more likely to spot a sunbathing seal or a passing pod of dolphins than you are a picnicking family. It's completely unspoilt. The sand and smooth slate-shingle is met by cool clear still waters and steep cliffs on either side. Access is via the footpaths that hug the very edge of the coastline. The famous Dinas Island walk, a circular loop which climbs and falls dramatically along the rocky edge with astonishing views, brings you round to the Old Sailors pub on Fishguard Bay for a well-deserved pint of Felinfoel and a doorstep-thick crab sandwich.

Scafell Pike
Scafell Pike is the highest mountain in England, standing at 978 metres (3,209 ft). Situated in the Lake District of Cumbria, Scafell Pike is part of a dramatic landscape and is popular with climbers and holidaymakers seeking a challenge in the outdoors. Scafell Pike is often part of the "Three Peaks" challenge, where climbers attempt to summit the highest peaks in England (Scafell Pike), Scotland (Ben Nevis), and Wales (Snowdon) within 24 hours. From the summit, climbers can enjoy spectacular views of the Lake District, including Wastwater Lake, known as the deepest lake in England. On clear days, views can extend as far as the Isle of Man and Scotland. The most popular route up Scafell Pike is from Wasdale Head, which is the quickest and most direct route to the summit. There are also longer routes from Eskdale and Borrowdale, but they offer different views. The summit of Scafell Pike was gifted as a national war monument to the British people after World War I by Lord Leconfield, in honour of the fallen soldiers. The weather on Scafell Pike can change rapidly, even in summer. Heavy fog and rain are common, so climbers need to be well prepared, both in terms of clothing and navigation equipment. Scafell Pike is a mountain that offers both physical and technical challenges for climbers, but also offers a profound experience of its natural beauty.
Fun in wales
I had an incredible experience exploring the breathtaking landscapes and charming towns of Wales. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the natural beauty surrounding me. Hiking through Snowdonia National Park was an unforgettable adventure—the views from the summit of Mount Snowdon were absolutely awe-inspiring. The misty mountains, rolling green hills, and serene lakes made me feel like I was walking through a postcard!
One of the highlights was visiting the picturesque town of Conwy , where I wandered through the narrow streets and explored the historic Conwy Castle. The sense of history in Wales is palpable, and learning about the medieval past while soaking in the coastal views made it an enriching experience.
I also had a lot of fun trying out some local Welsh delicacies—Welsh cakes quickly became my favorite snack! The friendly locals made the experience even better, always offering warm smiles and helpful tips on where to go next.
A funny moment from my trip was when I tried pronouncing some of the incredibly long Welsh town names—I think I almost sprained my tongue trying to say "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogosh"! But it was all in good fun, and the locals had a laugh with me.
Wales truly stole my heart, and I can’t wait to go back for more adventures!

Grasslands of Wales is magical 🇬🇧
#grassland
Visiting the grasslands of Wales was an experience that felt like stepping back in time. 🌾 The rolling hills and vast open spaces are incredibly peaceful, offering a real sense of escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I spent most of my time in the Brecon Beacons, where the green pastures seem to stretch endlessly under a wide, open sky. The air here feels so clean and fresh – it’s the perfect place to reconnect with nature.
One of the highlights was hiking up to *Pen y Fan*, the highest peak in southern Britain. The climb is moderate, but the panoramic views from the top are absolutely worth it. No entrance fee, just a good pair of hiking boots and some energy! The landscape is dotted with sheep and the occasional pony, making it feel truly untouched. Another must-see is the *Elan Valley*, where a series of reservoirs and dams create a dramatic backdrop against the lush greenery. It's a fantastic spot for a picnic or a leisurely walk, with plenty of trails to explore.
If you’re into history, nearby *Hay-on-Wye* is a charming little town known for its bookstores and annual literary festival. It’s a great place to browse for a good book to enjoy in the peaceful surroundings. For something a bit more adventurous, I also tried horse riding through the grasslands, which was a wonderful way to take in the scenery from a different perspective.
Overall, the grasslands of Wales are a hidden gem, perfect for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside. 🌿 #trip #WalesAdventure #BreconBeacons #NatureEscape #UKTravel #ExploreWales
