Golden Grass Field, Khun Chae National Park🏔️🍃
#trip free accommodation is very good, both the view and the air. This is in Chiang Rai, which in winter, the temperature can drop to single digits, very cold, the air is like being in a foreign country. Especially at night, we can see the Milky Way or shooting stars, we can see them with the naked eye. Both the air and the people here are only our gang. It is a very quiet place. If anyone wants to come, I recommend this place. Walk and relax.

All-female trekking trip to Langka Luang, Langka Noi 💐🌳
#tripแจกโรงแรมฟรี Honestly, this place is very beautiful. The path we went was all women, so we got to see the details, stopping to take pictures of every angle, and the real thrill of women. We got to take time in places that we didn't think we would stop if we were walking alone. But here, it was okay, we took pictures until it was worth it, so we didn't have to come back again because we went to every spot. Let's just say that this place is equally beautiful, and it's a golden grass field all over. But the way down here is really brutal.

There are Thai massage parlors, restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, OTOP shops, jewelry, wood carvings, and souvenirs, as well as a small souvenir shop. Thaweesin Natural Hot Spring
Mae Khachan Hot Spring is located in Mae Chedi Mai Subdistrict, Wiang Pa Pao District, Chiang Rai Province. Mae Khachan Hot Spring is a rest stop on the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai or from Chiang Mai to Phayao. Mae Khachan Hot Spring was originally only on one side, which is the right side if coming from Chiang Mai or the left side if coming from Chiang Rai or Phayao. Inside, there is a natural hot spring with a temperature of up to 90 degrees Celsius, which can be used to boil eggs. Mae Khachan Hot Spring is a naturally occurring hot spring. According to the stories of the elders of Pong Nam Ron Village, in the past, there were no villages in this area. It was a jungle. In the past, it was called Pong Din. There were both small and large animals that came down to eat the salt lick regularly. The area around the hot spring was also a passageway between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai traders. Horses and cows were the vehicles. It was a path along the mountainside and was considered a place to rest overnight because the area was a wide open space, the location was convenient, and there were natural hot springs.

Homduan coffee cafe
☕️ Homduan coffee cafe - Homduan Coffee Cafe
Homduan Coffee is a small, cute, white-toned, minimalist-style cafe in the middle of a rice field. It can be said that Homduan Coffee is a must-visit coffee shop for anyone traveling from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. The shop is located in Wiang Pao Pao District on the side of the road (if you go from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai, the shop will be on the right). It is a small shop with many photo spots. Especially when there is rice in the fields, the atmosphere is great. You will definitely get beautiful pictures with a great view.
The shop offers both drinks and bakery items. I personally like coffee very much. The coffee tastes very good and the price is not expensive. You can stop by to rest your car, sip coffee and enjoy the view before continuing your journey in a chill way. ☺️

Doi Langka Noi-Luang, Chiang Rai Province
Doi Langka Noi and Doi Langka Luang are located in Khun Jae National Park, Chiang Rai Province, which is the intersection of 3 provinces: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Lampang. It is one of the long-distance hiking trails and nature study trails that most hikers want to conquer at least once in their lives. With its height ranking among the highest peaks in Thailand, Doi Langka Noi peak is 2,031 meters above sea level, making it the 6th highest peak in Thailand. Doi Langka Noi peak is 1,800 meters above sea level, making it the 11th highest peak in Thailand.
The hiking trails here are known to be very brutal and rocky. There are steep paths up the mountain, through the forest and through strong winds. But if you make it to the top, I can tell you that it is worth the effort. The view from the top of the mountain is beautiful. You can see the surroundings in 360 degrees. In the morning, you can see the sea of fog and the sunrise. At night, you can sleep under the stars, set up camp, and set up a tent on the top of the mountain. It is really awesome.

✨ White Wonder in Chiang Rai — Wat Rong Khun
Visiting Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple, was easily one of the most surreal and visually striking experiences during our trip to northern Thailand. The moment we laid eyes on the temple, it felt like we had stepped into a fantasy. The entire structure gleamed under the sun—pure white, with intricate carvings and shimmering mirror mosaics that sparkled from every angle.
Crossing the bridge toward the main building was an experience in itself. Beneath the walkway, hundreds of sculpted hands reached out in eerie stillness, symbolizing human desire and suffering. The bridge, representing the path to enlightenment, was lined with symbolism that made us pause and reflect before even entering the temple.
Inside the main hall, we were surprised to find modern pop culture references integrated into the wall murals—characters like Superman and Neo from The Matrix, alongside symbolic imagery of disasters and chaos. Somehow, it worked. It felt like a commentary on the conflict between spiritual awakening and worldly distractions.
Outside, the golden restroom building stood in stark contrast to the all-white temple—a reminder of materialism versus purity, cleverly designed to reflect the deeper message behind the entire experience. The temple grounds also featured a wishing well, small sculptures, and a peaceful garden space. We even browsed the adjacent art gallery by the temple’s creator, Chalermchai Kositpipat.
It’s best to visit in the morning to beat the crowds and catch the temple glowing in the soft sunlight. Modest attire is required, and photography is allowed outside but not inside the main hall.
Wat Rong Khun is not your typical temple—it’s part spiritual journey, part modern art gallery, and completely unforgettable. It challenged us to think deeper while dazzling our senses. Truly a must-visit in Chiang Rai.

🌿 Relaxing Interlude at Mae Kachan Hot Springs (Chiang Rai)
We stopped at Mae Kachan Hot Springs during our drive from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai, and it turned out to be one of our favorite unscheduled pauses. Located right off the highway in Moo 6, Pha Soet Phatthana Village, the spot is a popular rest stop—complete with cafes, souvenir shops, and stalls selling fresh fruit, snacks, and souvenirs.
The highlight is the natural hot spring pools, where boiling water gushes from the ground at around 90°C—hot enough to cook eggs in just a few minutes. We bought a few eggs (chicken and quail) and had fun boiling them right there on the spot. A quirky and memorable experience!
While the main hot spring is too hot for dipping, there’s a smaller diverted stream where the temperature is just right for soaking your feet. It felt great to give our tired legs a warm soak after hours on the road. There were even foot-soak setups offered by nearby shops if you wanted to make it a little more indulgent.
The facilities were basic but decent. There was no entrance fee, just a small charge for using the restrooms. The area was bustling but still relaxing, with friendly vendors and fellow travelers stopping for a break.
It’s not a destination you’ll spend hours at, but as a quick and unique roadside stop, it’s well worth pulling over for. Definitely a fun way to break up the journey!

♨️Chiang Rai Hot Springs ~ A must-stop when driving from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai
The first attraction on the day trip is usually set off at 8:00~9:00, because the journey takes 3~4 hours. It can also be the last one on the return trip. I just saw the hot springs erupting one after another. It was very spectacular to see it in person! It is one of the must-see attractions from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai.
This is a natural hot spring. You can DIY boiled eggs in hot spring water. The enthusiastic and friendly vendors introduced the types of eggs to choose from. We were super excited to boil eggs, and it was only 20 baht, with 3 hot spring eggs or more than 20 bird eggs. The journey back to Chiang Mai was just close to dinner time. It was really cost-effective and chewy.
Next to the vendor is the foot-soaking river, which is shaded by trees and will not be exposed to the sun at all. It is recommended to wear loafers or sandals during the trip, which are more convenient to put on and take off.
This interesting attraction is rare in northern Thailand, and I recommend it to everyone~
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: Egg-boiling pool, foot-soaking river

The Last Journeywg
This time is the last trip of little Mali. Along the way, it was both fun and boring. It was a great experience that cannot be found anywhere else. In the period of 4 years, we have been through everything, both by car and by plane. Hotels in Phitsanulok, Nakhon Sawan, Chiang Mai, Mae Sot, every place is truly meaningful. It is very tiring. We just go back to the starting point again. If there is a chance, we will work together again. Thank you. 🗓️ Travel planning #VisitChiangMai
