The charm of Zermatt, famous for the Matterhorn! 🇨🇭 First, head to the summit on the Gornergrat Railway! The view from the train is amazing. If you sit on the right side of the train, you can see the Matterhorn as you ascend. (You can see it no matter where you sit.) Not only will you be soothed by the Matterhorn, but the surrounding nature will also be soothing. 🌳 Once you reach the summit, you'll be greeted by a snowy landscape and the mighty Matterhorn in the distance. 👀✨ I was so excited, not expecting to see such snow in late September. lol After enjoying the summit, head back one stop to Riffelsee. This is the spot where you can see the upside-down Matterhorn. When I went, it was almost windless and sunny, allowing me to see the inverted Matterhorn at its best. If you absolutely want to see it, you might want to check the weather forecast and consider changing your plans during your trip. When I went, the view was so amazing that I ended up staying for 3 or 4 hours, lol. I was hungry, so I took the train back to the station and headed to a restaurant, enjoying the Zermatt cityscape. The restaurant was called "Whymper Stube." I had looked into this place in advance and found out that reservations were required, but I didn't have one, so I gave up. When I went to check it out around 4pm, there were hardly any customers, so I was able to get in right away. (How lucky!) The cheese fondue here was so different that I was surprised it could taste so different, even in Switzerland. My friend and I looked at each other with such deliciousness the moment we tried it. 🫕 In addition to bread, it came with potatoes, and we added mushrooms and ordered sausages and potatoes, but it was all gone in an instant. 💓 The beer and wine were both delicious. 🍷 After dinner, we had dessert!! As we were walking, we smelled the delicious aroma of crepes... We ordered a bitter chocolate and banana crepe and shared it, lol. There's a place called the Japanese Bridge in Zermatt, and it offers a beautiful view of the Matterhorn, so I highly recommend it! There was a bench nearby, so it was nice to relax there! We stayed at a hotel in Täsch, one stop away. (It took me a while to find the entrance, lol.) It's so beautiful, stylish, and highly recommended! It's a 20-minute train ride to Zermatt. If you think hotels in Zermatt are a little pricey, there are cheaper options just one stop away, so if you don't mind the commute, I recommend that you check out Zermatt. Matterhorn, the white peak that everyone dreams of visiting at least once in their life. This time, we weren't lucky enough to visit this peak because some clouds partially obscured the view. However, it's still worth the trip. It's as beautiful as ever. This time, the weather was perfect with just a little snow, but not too much. The air was cool and comfortable. The river water hadn't frozen over, making for beautiful photos. To get to Zermatt, we rented a car and had to park at the train station before reaching Zermatt. We then took the train because this city is car-free. We only use electric trains to prevent pollution. After that, we took the train up the mountain to the top of Matterhorn. Once you're up there, you'll be greeted by a magnificent view of the mountains covered in ice.
