Hello, sharing a magical place – 'Her Space', a women's sanctuary hidden in the mountains of Lin'an, which only hosts women.
At home, you might be a daughter, a wife, a mother, but here, you are just yourself.
As long as this place exists, we will always have a safe haven to return to.
In the morning, Zhangzhang was live streaming. I took advantage of a break to make breakfast. No noodles today; I used an electric griddle to fry eggs, mushrooms, yogurt pancakes, and fish fillets. With a crisp persimmon, we were happily eating when Mili called out to everyone in the group to practice Jingang Gong. We wanted to join, but suddenly realized we couldn't practice right after eating. A quick online search confirmed it, so we can only look forward to tomorrow.
In the morning, Orange Sunshine, wearing gloves and holding a sickle, was cleaning up a damaged plot of land covered by plastic film in the backyard, clearing out a large bag of trash and allowing the soil to be reborn.
Sister Xiaoma went to the ancient town to discuss renting a bar with the owner, while I was practicing Baduanjin in the central courtyard, perfectly missing her departure. Shuangshuang and I were drinking tea and regretting not seeing what the bar looked like.
Who knew that not long after lunch, we'd learn that the owner also had a well-decorated guesthouse!
So, led by Sister Xiaoma, our three cars full of people collectively set off excitedly to see the guesthouse, even abandoning the legs that were being gua sha'd at the time.
The group moved between the guesthouse, courtyard, and bar.
Upon returning, we saw Auntie planting and watering vegetables in the garden. Sister Xiaoma immediately pulled over, and with great enthusiasm, Nuoyi and I went down to pull weeds for a while, clearing out the wild grass that was stealing nutrients from the vegetable stalks.
This chore needs to be done every now and then, but it's endlessly fun. Everyone is welcome to try it too!
As dinner approached, the crabs that Xiao Dan bought for her "maiden family" arrived. She and I rode Auntie's electric scooter to her house to wash and steam them; each one was plump and delicious.
Once they were on the table, everyone gathered around, cracking and eating them, hands and mouths full of crab roe, with laughter filling the air.
Every day in the mountains is so fulfilling. Here, you only need to focus on life, and feel the kindness of nature and your sisters.
It wasn't until I threw myself into this small courtyard deep in the mountains of Lin'an that I understood that people truly need a good magnetic field to nourish themselves.
The homeowner spent 7 million yuan building this place.
Even every stone slab on the ground
was personally sourced by her from the countryside of southern Anhui.
Everything was to give her daughter a happy childhood.
Here 🍃
Vegetables are picked fresh from our own garden.
The water is from a 700-meter high mountain spring.
Cooking and making tea both have a sweet, fresh taste.
There are no waiters here, no standardized procedures.
Only a slow-paced life.
We call it "Women's Maiden Home Courtyard."
At home, you are a mother/wife/daughter/daughter-in-law.
Here, you are just yourself.
As long as the courtyard is here, you will always have a place to go.
