Good food as usual but unfortunately one of our favourite dishes has been taken off the menu so maybe won&rsquo;t be going there much anymore

Our group agreed the service was excellent, all the meals were delicious, and the staff were welcoming and friendly.We couldn&#39;t ask for anything better.Thanks.

The food was delicious and a huge shout out to Chris, who was very helpful with our table of 9 people. Thank you very much Chef and Chris, you made our birthday celebrations special.

I have to say I was so impressed with the staff and how helpful they were.  You don&rsquo;t get such great service too often  these days but their staff was awesome. I had not been there for a few years and the food is still delicious and good value.

Been to this hotel many times and tonight they did not disappoint.  Food and service was impeccable yet again

We attended tonight and entered the main room which had a live performance. But we were asked if we&rsquo;d like to eat somewhere quieter and they asked if we&rsquo;d like to eat in the bar area near the tab section. We were more than happy to do that as we had just flown in from Melbourne. I had the rump steak, chips, salad with the Diane sauce and Neil who had accompanied me had the senior chicken schnitzel meal with the chips and salad also.I added some aioli to go with my chips along with 2 pints of lemon lime bitters for us both.The food was most excellent and I&rsquo;m thankful when I left o forgot my green carry bag and they kept it behind the bar for me for safe keeping. Thank you kindly for that also, as that meant a lot to me.All and all great food, service and atmosphere and it&rsquo;s the 3rd time we&rsquo;ve eaten here as we also own an apartment  that we rent out in Brisbane and we&rsquo;re looking to move this way from Ballarat Victoria to be closer to a country vibe that&rsquo;s not too far away from the city.Definitely the best tavern in the area, so much so we have a pub down the road from where we are staying in Petrie and its food and atmosphere doesn&rsquo;t compare to your awesome establishment !! Thank you and compliments to the staff and chef.

Love taking my friends there, in fact they now ask to go. Great food, great service. Staff always friendly and smiling, always welcoming.

This was our first visit, chosen based on Google reviews for their steaks, and they did not disappoint! I ordered my steak medium done and my wife ordered hers medium-well, and they were both done perfectly, with a nice caramelized crust on the outside just the way we like  it.

I am saddened to know Fork is leaving the table, so to speak. It is the easiest app to book a table at my desired restaurant. I hope the tavern comes up a booking service but I will wait and see.
