M43***71The restaurant is close to the scenic area and has a good environment! The service is thoughtful! There is an outdoor platform facing the mountains. It feels great to dine. The dishes are mainly based on the local Laiyuan characteristics, including lamb legs and lamb chops. I ordered some red willow branch skewers for fear that I couldn’t finish them.

I had authentic Baoding donkey meat here. It was fresh, not technologically advanced, and the flavor was absolutely authentic. I've had plenty of donkey meat, so I won't argue with that. The price was reasonable. The millet is a local new product this year, ground from a stone mill, and the rice oil is very fragrant. There are many local dishes here, so the price is reasonable. The taste isn't salty or oily, so it's relatively healthy. If you like, you can DIY. There are many major brand seasonings. The donkey meat and barbecue are the toughest. The iron pot stew is so filling that I couldn't finish it, so I ordered two bowls of the iron pot stew outside the hall. It was so delicious, cooked over a wood fire, and the pot was big enough for dozens of bowls when it came out, and it was all gone. I even went to the Food Valley just for this stew and the donkey meat hot pot.
The hotel's restaurant tasted better than expected, the tofu and eggplant were so delicious. Most importantly, the tomatoes were crunchy, which showed that they were all peripheral products.
The lamb shanks are good, the service is good. The accommodation is good and feels hygienic.
🏔️Laiyuan Secret Spot | Baishishan Great Wall Meets the Sea of Clouds, a Hidden Gem for Filming! The wild Great Wall in Laiyuan is nationally renowned. The Baishikou Great Wall is renowned for its historical strategic significance as the Cloud Valley Pass. Villages on both sides of the Baishikou Great Wall still have indigenous people with Khitan characteristics. Climbing is generally permitted from June to National Day. During other times, a small tower is accessible due to fire prevention. As the Great Wall's conservation efforts progress, repairs or restrictions on independent climbing may be implemented. Many celebrities have visited Baishishan and the Great Wall. Baishishan is a World Geopark, a marble peak forest, and the head of the Taihang Mountains. Taking off from the visitor center and Baishishan Lodge, aerial photography of Baishishan Town is a popular choice for aerial photographers. The Great Wall is even more beautiful in autumn, with its vibrant colors. Many photographers visit and produce stunning photos, even with a single phone. Evenings are perfect for viewing planets, as the moon will be large on November 3rd. Baishishan Lodge has both astronomical and scenic telescopes, with large apertures sufficient for casual viewing. I hope this continues. 📍Baishikou Great Wall Address: Baishishan Town, Laiyuan County, Baoding City, Hebei Province (1 km south of the visitor center) ✨Three Must-Experiences at Baishishan 1️⃣ The Suspended Glass Plank Road Walking on the Clouds at 1,900 meters above sea level! There's a chasm beneath your feet. The timid recommend walking close to the wall. There's also a double-decker glass plank road, but it's worth understanding. You'll need to be on a rope if you're close to the wall. Via ferratas and aerial walkways are popular with young people. I heard even teacher Meng Man dared to do them, so their safety is undeniable. 2️⃣ Great Wall Sunset Viewing Platform Locate the Baishikou No. 5 Watchtower! The evening light and shadows are stunning, and taking silhouette photos in Hanfu is a true masterpiece. 3️⃣ Food Valley Restaurant The perfect spot for taking photos of the scenery. The food is all local specialties, and prices are unchanged during National Day. The food is authentic and freshly prepared. I highly recommend giving it a try! You won't have the expensive and unpalatable experience of dining at a scenic spot. It's a fantastic value. 🚗Drivers, check this out! - 2 hours direct from Baoding. The navigation system "Baishishanshe" is battery-friendly, parking-friendly, and camping-friendly. - Parking in the official parking lot near the mountain gate is 10 yuan/day. Private parking spaces are also available for 10 yuan, and sometimes 15 or 20 yuan when the area is busy. All parking is clearly marked. Sometimes villagers will guide you, but it's up to you. If you don't like it, just ignore them. 🔥Tips for Pitfall Prevention ❌Don't wear slippers! Some sections require you to use your hands and feet to climb. ✅ Bring a light jacket! The summit is 10°C cooler than the city center and 6°C cooler than the visitor center. ⏰Best Photography Time: 2 hours after sunrise/1 hour before sunset. Take photos of the scenery as you please, regardless of the time of day or the weather. Each scene has its own unique charm. [Monkey] Laiyuan is well-managed. Every time I've been there, I've never encountered any of the annoying things in the scenic area, nor have I encountered any scams or rip-off shops. Everyone can make their own decisions with common sense. Highly recommend this local tourism destination. #BeijingNearbyTours #HebeiTourism #LaiyuanBaishishan #GreatWallPhotography #UncommonTravelDestinations
