A couple of weeks ago, I travelled to Batam to visit my local friends, and they suggested dining at Wey Wey Seafood Batam, a popular waterfront seafood restaurant in Harbour Bay Downtown with a breathtaking sunset view. 

We ordered Steamed Grouper, Sweet & Sour Crabs, Baked Crab, Salted Egg Prawns, and Stir-Fried Kangkong with Sambal. All the seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The four of us truly enjoyed the beautiful sunset while indulging in the delicious dishes, sipping on beers, and happily chatting away.

The next day, my friend brought me to Shu Guo Yin Xiang, also located in Harbour Bay. This Chinese hotpot restaurant has a stylish design and a cozy atmosphere. 

We had three types of soups in one pot — Chicken Herbal, Sichuan Mala, and their Special Pork Bone Soup. The ingredients were fresh with a good variety, making the meal hearty and satisfying. It was a wonderful spot to catch up with friends while enjoying comforting hotpot together.
