Every omakase is an unique experience and the experience is a wholesome concept. From the ambience, to the cultery used are also considered part of the omakase. At 7th door in Seoul, I have come across their luxurious use of cutlery from Christofle from France. Their high quality silverware are house inside an egg-shape exterior case and you choose which cutlery you wish to use for your main dish. It is also easy to get a reservation here but you have to do it with your hotel concierge. You also have to take note on the deposit needed to guarantee the reservation and might have to ask the hotel concierge for help too.

Sharing my berry-indulgence secret for 7th Door restaurant, a 1 star Michelin restaurant and you can only reserve your seats on their website with a korean telephone number and a korean issued credit card. So it is not as easy to make reservations here but you can always approach your hotel’s concierge. As for the deposit payment, you will need help too else you can do bank transfers and it will take a few days. I came here for their autumn set lunch and I enjoyed it so much. It is a series of food tasting “through the seven tastes of Korea”. You will definitely enjoy this dining experience.

Have a seoul-prise in South Korea.

The whole 'have a seoul-prise' thing made me chuckle. Korea really does throw unexpected challenges at you when you’re just trying to eat well.

One of the many top Michelin star restaurants in Korea and it is not the easiest place to get a reservation, especially for foreigners. Long story short, after my dinner at another Michelin star restaurant, I had the time to take a stroll in the Gangnam area. It was a leisurely stroll in the cooling weather. I walked about 20 minutes and arrived at the 7th door. It was relatively easy to walk and you can always use the Korean navigation map to find the shortest route. I came to the 7th door to reconfirm my reservation and paid a deposit to secure my seat. I know by now this restaurant sounds so low-tech in handling reservations. It is what it is, stay tuned to my vlog on my lunch experience at 7th door.
