Brasserie Baselstab Movenpick

Movenpick ice cream is a Swiss brand. How can you not eat it when you come to Switzerland? The price here is cheaper than in China. I buy a box almost every day. I think it tastes better than Haagen-Dazs. The ice cream is more fragrant. I like the chocolate flavor the most. I am not used to the cheese at the first bite, but it is good after a few bites! Finally, I saw that the price in Germany is actually cheaper than in Switzerland... Anyway, you can't miss it when you go to Europe!

When we arrived we waited a good 5 minutes while 3 serving staff basically ignored us even though we had booked. One eventually told us to sit anywhere. My son had a burger and chips which he said was good. I had the homemade roast beef. The roast beef was excellent but it was placed under and enormous salad which was then drenched in oil. The roast beef was soggy because of the oil. This was a shame as I wanted to enjoy the beef with the tartar sauce which came with it. There were too many olives on the plate as well. We were informed there was no icecream on the menu even though the Movenpick stall outside continued to serve icecreams.

Always a friendly team, always good quality. It's a shame they'll have to close soon, as the entire building is being renovated. We'll miss them.

It was our family Christmas and everyone enjoyed it, especially the children, who could choose their food. We had a nice place and were well served.
