Hanndorf German Village in Adelaide, Australia: After visiting the zoo, it was already 12 o'clock, so we had to solve the lunch problem. Of course, we had to go to the famous Hanndorf German Village. It was only more than half an hour's drive from the Canyon Zoo, and we could drive there in a short while. Today was the weekend, so there were a lot of cars, but we could park for free on both sides of the road for 3 hours, which was enough for us to walk around and have lunch. Some animals are sleeping during the day or winter, so it’s quite depends on the seasons and the weather if you are going to have a good day in the zoo, I am lucky that I saw lots of animals that I have never seen before, very happy about it. No issues with the pre booked ticket at all.

There are many kinds of things you can buy in the market. I think it’s amazing. The fruits and vegetables in Australia are very big, and there are also many desserts. I bought donuts, which are very delicious.

Next to the German Village is the Berenberg Strawberry Farm, which is a very large, purely open-air strawberry garden. Visitors can buy tickets at the store at the entrance (4 dollars per person) to enter and pick the strawberries. They can taste the fruits while picking, and the more they eat, the sweeter they become. After picking, the fruits are charged by weight, and the price is similar to that of picking in the garden in China.

Visiting Monarto Safari Park was such an amazing experience. It really felt like going on a real safari because the animals roam in huge open spaces instead of small enclosures. The bus tour was relaxing and informative, and seeing lions, giraffes, rhinos, and elephants up close was unforgettable. The park is massive — one of the largest safari parks outside Africa — so there was always something exciting to see. The staff and guides were also friendly and knowledgeable, which made the visit even better. It’s definitely a great day trip from Adelaide for animal lovers and families.
